Melania Trump Can't Escape Rumors About Her Love Life
It's not just Donald Trump who's plagued by affair rumors. Gossip has continued to circulate about an alleged romantic connection between Melania Trump and Hank Siemers, who was the head of security at Tiffany & Co. next to Trump Towers in Manhattan. The story took off in 2017, months after Trump's first inauguration, but the hearsay is that Melania's affair has been going on for years.
Author Monica Byrne jumped on X in June 2017 and wrote a series of since-deleted tweets about the alleged scandalous relationship. "[W]ord is, for many years, Melania's been having an affair with the head of security at Tiffany's in the Trump Tower lobby," Byrne tweeted (via Perez Hilton). "...with DT's knowledge. They had an agreement (written, I think) that if DT lost the election, they'd get divorced. But then he won," she added. Byrne went on to note that since Trump won the election, Melania is trapped in the marriage. Unsurprisingly, Melania has not addressed this gossip, but for many, based on her body language and other factors, it seems ever so slightly plausible. After all, there's no denying the red flags in Donald and Melania's relationship, as their marriage has been hounded by tittle-tattle of infidelities and unhappiness. In fact, many have wondered if they'll make it, with an astrologer weighing in on the strength of Donald and Melania's marriage. In spite of it all, they seem to work things out, but Melania hasn't been spared from whispers of her own.
Melania Trump was allegedly slow to leave New York for the White House because of her lover
There are certain details about Donald and Melania Trump's marriage that make the rumors around the first lady's affair that much more plausible. When Trump first moved to the White House in 2017, Melania didn't move to Washington D.C. with him for several months, claiming that she needed to stay in New York for Barron Trump's schooling. However, many didn't buy that excuse, including Monica Byrne, who cited Trump's alleged affair with Hank Siemers as the real reason for her reticence. "Again: this is kind of obvious already to anyone with eyes. Melania looks miserable. But this would be a broader illustration of why," Byrne began, "Also it's why she doesn't leave New York," she added, (via Perez Hilton).
Fuelling the fire, there's also the fact that Melania often looks unhappy. In throwback photos from the 90s, Melania looks so different when she first began dating Trump. She was all smiles back then, but not so much anymore. She's also famous for swatting away any effort at PDA on the part of her husband. She appears reluctant to hold Trump's hand and avoids kissing him. The events are so numerous that The Late Show With Stephen Colbert compiled a whole series of moments when she literally iced Trump out. Of course, the many rumors of Trump's various affairs — with Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal — might not create warm feelings in Melania towards her husband, so there's that.
