Karoline Leavitt Can't Escape Rumors About Her Love Life

While Karoline Leavitt is a wife and mother, rumors about an alleged affair with Donald Trump continue to follow her. Leavitt joined the president on a trip to Scotland in July 2025, and social media was uproarious about a potential romance brewing between the two. It's not totally mysterious why Leavitt's Instagram post about their trip caused such a stir. In one photo, they're posing side by side, with Trump serving one of his signature thumbs-up. In another, the two are riding in a golf cart together. They certainly appeared close on the trip. 

Visuals of Trump and Leavitt enjoying Scotland together sparked all kinds of comments, with many people alluding to an alleged romance. "They look good together, perfect couple," a netizen wrote. "Wouldn't be surprised if they had an affair, these people ARE NOT CONSERVATIVE," another commented. "Allegedly, she's sleeping with the president," someone else wrote in the comments, cutting right to the chase. People compared Leavitt to Monica Lewinsky, famous for her affair with former President Bill Clinton in the late '90s. But it's not just their trip to Scotland that has spurred affair rumors. Leavitt and Trump have a bit of a track record with weird rhetoric around each other. 

Karoline Leavitt and Donald Trump have a habit of praising each other in ways that go beyond normal workplace affirmations. While speaking with Newsmax in August 2025, Trump said of Leavitt, "It's that face, it's that brain, it's those lips, the way they move." The praise struck many as uncomfortable and strange, with too much focus on her physical attributes rather than her diplomatic ones. Meanwhile, Leavitt's praise for Trump is a little less explicit, but her Instagram feed is littered with photos with Trump, and barely any photos with her husband, Nicholas Riccio. 

Leavitt and Riccio's marriage is full of glaring red flags. Riccio is 32 years older than Leavitt, and while she has defended and praised their unconventional marriage, it's one of the reasons that rumors continue to swirl around Leavitt's relationship with Trump. People joke that since she likes older men, a relationship with Trump wouldn't be out of the question. While these speculations continue, Leavitt's own marriage is hypothesized as causing another problem in her career: her style. As press secretary, Leavitt is constantly facing the public, but shows up in outfits that totally miss the mark. How does this relate to her husband? She dresses in an old, frumpy manner, and all of Leavitt's worst outfits have one thing in common: She's dressing in her husband's age bracket. But judging from all of those affair rumors, maybe she's dressing in Trump's age bracket, too.
