Rare Times Christina Haack Traded In Her Signature Waves For Sleeker Styles

We all know that Christina Haack loves her long hair. "I definitely have an obsession with long, thick hair!" she once wrote on Instagram." She gets candid about her love of extensions often, sharing before-and-after videos on social media of her looks. Her signature style is long, beachy waves with full body and face-framing layers. But now and again, Haack skips out on the curls for something a little sleeker. While it's rare, Haack has sported a more casual, straight hairstyle. But the one thing in common with all of these looks is the length. Haack seems to feel best — and most empowered — when her hair is long and full. 

Haack's hair is a big identifier, and it's a major part of her style; and just like her career, her hair has come a long way. Haack looks almost unrecognizable in her HGTV debut with short hair. We're so used to her long styling of it now that her bygone hair length was a shock. Even small details make a big difference. Haack looked so different without her hair in its signature middle-part. But we have to say, her hair in a side part looks pretty glamorous. Since her blonde hair is such a staple part of her grooming, we gave Haack brunette hair, and the difference is shocking. And all of the times that Haack ditched the curls for a straighter hairstyle, she gained a bit of edge.

Christina Haack brought simplicity to the soccer field. Back in April 2021, she posted a photo to Instagram with her son, Brayden, whom she shares with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa. While the cute pic was really about her son — she captioned it, "Brays first soccer game and he scored," — we didn't miss her styling. Simple with a middle part, Haack looked casual and relaxed. Of course, fans familiar with her co-parenting history will recall that Christina got into a major fight with Heather Rae El Moussa, Tarek's new wife, at one of Brayden's soccer games in 2022. Those games can get feisty! But they patched things up and continue to slay at the kids' games.

When Christina Haack took a beach vacation, she also took a break from her curling iron. The house flipper wowed in a black bikini and took balcony shots while showing off her shredded abs and unusually straight hair. "This trip just hits different ..." Haack wrote in the caption from August 2024. Her straight hair suited the low-key vibes of a tropical vacation. Plus, she was in the midst of her divorce from ex-husband Josh Hall, after separating in July 2024, so she was clearly putting her little black bikini to use by posting the ultimate revenge photo. 

Christina Haack looked cool as a cucumber in a family photo with her ex-husband, Ant Anstead, and their son, Hudson. Celebrating their son, the former couple shared a photo on Instagram in March 2025, and Haack smiled with sleek, straight hair and an all-black outfit of athletic leisure. "Our little gentleman CRUSHED his school performance this morning," Anstead wrote in the caption, while Haack commented, "Sweetest boy." They certainly looked like a happily co-parenting family. 

Christina Haack posted a tribute for her son's fifth birthday in September 2024. "You make every day brighter, happier and much more fun. I love being your mama," she wrote in the caption. While the post was all about her son, Hudson, we couldn't help but notice Haack's straight hair. She wore it parted down the middle and leaned into a relaxed vibe by wearing a casual, cream dress with white sneakers. The energy in the photo was a behind-the-scenes peek at their happy home life. 

Fans of house flipping shows will immediately recognize Jeff Lewis, and Christina Haack flexed their friendly connection by sharing a photo on Instagram of their brunch date on March 9, 2025. Naturally, Lewis and Haack share a lot of common ground, with Lewis even appearing as a guest judge on Haack's more recent show, "The Flip Off," where she competed against Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae El Moussa for the most profitable home flip. Haack looked chic and relaxed at brunch, with an effortlessly stylish, sleek do. 

While curls are Christina Haack's signature styling choice, she sure can rock a minimalist, sleek look. She showcased this in a car selfie and shared it to Instagram in May 2024 with the caption: "Hi May, Bye May." Fans appreciated her casual yet chic look. "Your dressed down less makeup look shows your natural beauty. Not trying to be critical, but complimentary. Always looking beautiful," one person commented. Haack was dominating that SoCal polish with her sweatshirt and uncomplicated hair. 

Christina Haack celebrated her relationship with Christopher Larocca while out with dinner with ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa. Haack showed that a perfect date night look doesn't have to involve extensive hair curling. Instead, she wore her hair down straight in a long, glossy mane while cuddling up with Larocca. The two started dating in the summer of 2024, after Haack separated from her then-husband, Josh Hall. The vibes looked casual and fun.

"Hi 42, I like you," she wrote in the caption, shared to Instagram in July 2025 while at the Four Seasons in Cabo San Lucas. Haack wore a denim mini skirt with a white, corset-style top. Instead of going for a complicated hairstyle, Haack wore her hair down, long, and straight, showing that an intimate birthday celebration does not require high-maintenance preparation.
