Lara Trump Looked So Different Before Her Foray Into The Limelight

Anyone glancing at photos of Lara Trump post-2020 could argue she looks practically unrecognizable from the person who met Eric Trump back in 2008. Photos from that era show a young, blond woman with relatively simple makeup and an unfussy style. Over the years, though — particularly after her father-in-law, Donald Trump, became president — the North Carolina native has totally switched up her aesthetic. In fact, Lara has changed so much that many have declared her one of the poster faces of the Mar-A-Lago face, a plastic surgery trend popular among Trump's nearest and dearest. 

That said, Trump herself has never confirmed nor denied any cosmetic procedures. However, judging from the visible changes, it's not too far-fetched to assume she's had at the very least, some minor work done. A closer look at photos from the early 2000s compared to photos of her now reveal her cheeks look much rounder and plumper than they did in earlier years. That said, this could be the work of new styling. Her makeup is much more dramatic and intense than it was in the late aughts. Her hair is blonder than it was before, typical of a Fox News anchor, unsurprising since she became a host on the network in 2025. In short, Lara's had a total MAGA makeover. 

Although Lara Trump has never confirmed nor denied any plastic surgery or cosmetic procedures, some experts believe it's a definite possibility given how her face looks in photographs. For one, her eyebrows are much fuller now than they used to be. In fact, all of her makeup is much darker and more dramatic than she wore when she and Eric Trump first started dating. Her eyes are also notably different. "A closer examination of Lara's recent photos is suggestive of blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery, in my opinion," Dr. Gizem Seymenoglu told the Irish Star. A popular procedure, this creates more lift around the eyes, making them appear wider and more alert. 

This wasn't all, though. "From my perspective, [Lara's] facial contours appear to have changed noticeably, and Botox and fillers seem like potential contributors to this development," Dr. Seymenoglu added. He noted a new roundness to Lara's cheeks that hadn't been there before, and credited dermal fillers as the cause. Her lips are also much fuller than they used to be. Dr. Jennifer Armstrong posted a video to Instagram of Lara's before and after photos. She hypothesized that Lara's had a lot of filler placed in her face, making her cheeks look wider and her lips look fuller. However, Dr. Armstrong wasn't a fan of these changes, claiming that all of Lara's work made her look inauthentic. Dr. Armstrong's opinion was that Lara would look better if she dissolved that excess filler in her cheeks, and stopped going in with such heavy eyebrow makeup.
