Does Simone Biles Have Tattoos? A Tour Of Her Lowkey Ink

Simone Biles is among the Olympic athletes repping stunning off-field fashion, with the gymnast's stylistic flair extending to her low-key ink. The Ohio native has a dainty collection of at least eight tattoos, including several pieces that honor her medal-winning legacy. In fact, Biles started her ink journey by getting the Olympic rings tattooed on her arm in 2017, commemorating the moment with an Instagram post. "Never too late to get the rings tatted," she captioned the snapshot, shouting out her friend Jake Miller for accompanying her.

Additionally, the inspirational figure opened up about the significance of her collarbone tattoo in her Netflix documentary, explaining that "And Still I Rise," the title of a Maya Angelou book of poems, resonates with her athletic and professional journey. "I feel like that's kind of the epitome of my career and my life story," said the athlete, who's endured mental health struggles and experienced sexual abuse during her career. "Because I've always risen to the occasion. Even after all the traumas and downfalls, I've always risen." Biles expanded her collection of cool-girl sticker tattoos in 2021, joining some of her Olympic peers in getting a cursive rendition of the word "golden" inked on her arm. The experience was chronicled by fellow gymnast Jordan Chiles on TikTok, with the gold-medal reference being a heartwarming shared tribute among the athletes.

Simone has a couple of tattoos that honor her relationship

Simone Biles's tattoo tour doesn't stop at Olympic references, as the record-breaking gymnast has a couple of pieces that honor her relationship with Chicago Bears player Jonathan Owens as well. The two superstar athletes got their first matching tattoos in February 2023, inking "444" on their bodies, before tying the knot in April. Based on snapshots shared by artist Aaron Valenzuela, Biles seemingly got the two butterflies on her hand tattooed during the same visit, but it's unclear if the insects are another ode to her relationship.

Biles soon revealed the meaning behind the body art she shares with Owens, responding to a fan question in an Instagram story accessed by PopSugar. "We have matching 444 tats," she wrote. "4better, 4worse, 4ever." This isn't the only time they've committed to complimentary pieces, as Biles opted for a micro-tattoo, the signature ink trend of 2024, when she got a tiny "J" on her finger in September. "This one was mainly a surprise for my husband and he really loves [it]," she told Young Hollywood. "He actually has a big 'S' on his ring finger, so when he's not wearing his ring [while] playing, I'm still there with him." So, while Biles might have some low-key body art, it's clear that the small pieces carry a lot of meaning for the Olympic star.
