Modern Family Star Julie Bowen Has Legs For Miles In Stunning IG Snap (Shoutout To Her Fitness Routine!)

Julie Bowen, who plays Claire Dunphy in the sitcom "Modern Family" just shook fans on Instagram with pics of her incredible legs. Seriously, what is her workout regime? The stunning star appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on July 15, 2025 with guest host Chris Distefano. While the two talked about all kinds of things, including Bowen's three sons, and "Happy Gilmore 2," people were far more invested in Bowen's toned legs. She wore a white collared, sequin black top with hot pink heels and a pair of lime green shorts that showcased these wonderful assets. 

On Instagram, fans were full of praise. "Those legs," someone commented, adding a heart emoji. "Legs for miles," another wrote. "Can I get those legs?? I wish I had them like that," another noted. Bowen really was looking incredibly fit, leading everyone to wonder what Bowen's routine is to stay in that kind of shape. Turns out, the secret is pickleball.

Given that pickleball is becoming increasingly popular in the U.S., it doesn't seem so surprising that Julie Bowen defaults to it as her go-to exercise. For the actor, though, staying in shape is a vital part of her lifestyle. "Just today, I had a gorgeous 90-minute pickleball session with my best friend and business partner, Rachel," Bowen told Well + Good in October 2024. "We play singles, which is a brutal workout because you have to run for every ball." But even before pickleball, Bowen has been avid about her workouts. When her boys were small, she told Oprah.com that she woke up at 5:30 a.m. to exercise before they woke up.  

While Bowen works hard to stay in shape so that she feels healthy, she's in good company with her "Modern Family" costars. So many of the strong, female actors from that show have grown into themselves in profound ways, and some look very different. Bowen is one of many on the cast of "Modern Family" who looks completely different from her character. Meanwhile, Bowen's on-screen daughter, Sarah Hyland, has undergone a stunning style transformation. The same goes for Bowen's other TV daughter, Ariel Winter, who plays the character of Alex Dunphy. Winter is stunning in real life; there must be something to the "Modern Family" effect, because all of these women are complete knockouts.
