The former Disney actor-turned-outspoken popstar has come a long way over the years, proudly sharing how hard she worked to feel comfortable rocking spicy, out-of-the-box looks on red carpets and beyond. "Now I have worked on myself and I look hot, so I am going to work it," she said on BBC Radio 1 (via Glamour U.K.). "I'm going to show the world that you can go from having an eating disorder and hating your body to wearing underwear on the cover of a magazine and love it. It's possible, and that's what I want to show people. I'm owning it," she added.

At the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, Demi Lovato left our jaws on the floor when she hit the stage in an eye-catching electric blue, one-shoulder bodysuit with a large cutout over her chest. We also love how she incorporated her hair into the look, slicking her dark mane back into a super high and super long ponytail that was equal parts chic and feisty, just like her.
