Reese Witherspoon's Daughter Ava Phillippe Has Such A Relatable Tattoo Collection
Reese's Witherspoon daughter Ava Phillippe has had a stunning transformation over the years, with the model curating a small collection of tattoos along the way. Glimpses of them can sometimes be seen in her Instagram posts. She took to TikTok in June 2025 to break down her inky body art, revealing a total of eight trendy, cool-girl sticker tattoos that are both relatable and personally resonant. For example, the delicate feather located on Phillippe's wrist marks a popular tattoo style, placement, and imagery.

"This was my first tattoo that I got when I was in college," the LA native explained. "Went to SF with a friend for the day and just said, 'Why not?'" The delicate piece serves as a positive nudge for Phillippe, with the internet personality adding, "[It's] just a reminder to keep things light." A set of four nines on her opposite arm denotes her birthdate and angel numbers, while a trio of birds has familial ties. "They symbolize me and my two little brothers and they're also a reference to a tattoo someone else in my family used to have, but we won't talk about that," she said, likely referring to her movie star mom.
Phillippe highlighted an upper arm tattoo of an orchid with a baby face as her "favorite." While tattoo-enthusiasts will know that flowery designs are common, the piece has a special significance to the internet personality. "I got this one to, kind of, symbolize the sensitive little kid that I was," she explained, noting that it was done by the same artist who inked her bird tattoo, Lu Walstad. "Orchids are notoriously sensitive and require a little bit of extra time and love to thrive, so I got this one to kind of honor little Ava."
Not all of Ava's tattoos have stood the test of time
While tattoo removal comes with a lot of questions, Ava Phillippe is tackling the process with three of her tattoos, revealing in her TikTok video that not all of her pieces have withstood the test of time. The effects of laser removal are already visible with a design near the crease of her arm, which was once an eye accompanied by a dripping tear. "I just didn't love how it turned out," Phillippe explained. "We're lasering her off. We're three treatments in, I think."
A classic "admit one" ticket centered on her forearm makes for a pretty recognizable design, but it's another tattoo that the nepo baby no longer identifies with. "Initially, I wanted to get it because it was like, kind of, 'You got the ticket, whatcha gonna do with it?'" she said. Lastly, Phillippe also showed off a match and candle piece that she's ready to part with, sharing similar sentiments about the piece. Her decision to opt for tattoo removal is one she seemingly has in common with her famous mom Reese Witherspoon, who the influencer alluded to when showing off the trio of birds inked on her upper arm.
Witherspoon was previously pictured with a hip tattoo depicting two swallows on either side of a star, but a bikini snapshot from 2016 commemorating the "Legally Blonde" 15-year anniversary showed a super faded version of the piece that aligns with Phillippe's reference to someone in her family similarly undergoing tattoo removal. Overall, while the model's tattoo collection features some pretty appealing styles and messaging, her experience of outgrowing some of her inky designs adds another layer of relatability to the collection.
