The Lauren Boebert Event Outfit That Was Borderline Inappropriate

If there's anyone in Donald Trump's inner circle we can count on to be inappropriate as much and as often as possible, it's Lauren Boebert. From vaping and getting a little too handsy with her companion at a musical rendition of "Beetlejuice," so much so that they were escorted out of the venue; to racist tirades against fellow congresspeople; to her endless array of outfits that were complete misses, Boebert is pretty much a disaster.

To further prove that Boebert seems virtually unaware of not only how to conduct herself in the world, but what's appropriate and what isn't, in April 2025, she showed up to the NRCC President's Dinner wearing a dress that just might be one of her biggest misses of all time. While others at the event knew the assignment, Boebert showed up in a black and white polka dot, skin-tight, mini dress. It also had a sheer overlay that went right up to her neck. The dress code of the event was likely black tie, since other guests were seen dressed to the nines in tuxedos or slightly more formal dresses. Fun fact, Lauren: black tie doesn't mean wearing a black and white mini dress. As always, Boebert included her favorite beauty mistake that she won't stop making — cakey foundation — to complete her look.

What Lauren Boebert could have done instead

Although the dress that Lauren Boebert chose to wear to the NRCC President's Dinner isn't bad, per se, despite it looking like a relic from the wrong side of Y2K fashion trends, it's where she wore it that's the problem. As mentioned, it was clearly a black tie event, making Boebert's look not only inappropriate, but immature, too — and at 38, she's no longer a kid and should know how to dress for such an event.

Had Boebert wanted to dress like the other attendees, meaning to wear something fitting for a presidential dinner, the first step would have been to bring that hemline way down. Granted, Boebert has great legs, but that's not a good enough reason to dress so casually for such an evening. Another thing she should have taken into consideration is pattern. Sure, polka dots are always fun, especially on dresses, but they're mostly meant to be worn to low-key events like, for example, an afternoon garden party. Boebert also chose to opt for the unflattering hair style we've begged her to ditch: the tragic attempt at making wavy hair work for her. Not only was Boebert unsuccessful at this look, as always, but it's also a very informal hairstyle for the dinner.

It might be safe to assume that Boebert is and will always be a lost cause when tasked with making fashion and hair choices — unless she heeds our advice.
