Ivanka Trump's Inappropriate Outfit For Her Sister's Rehearsal Dinner Should Have Stayed In The Closet

Oh, Ivanka Trump. The former White House advisor has caused all sorts of scandal and intrigue over her outfit choices throughout the years. One particularly notable outfit (for all the wrong reasons) was the pink, two-piece getup she wore to Tiffany Trump's rehearsal dinner for her wedding to Michael Boulos in 2022. Ivanka's outfit consisted of a pink halter top with a rhinestone collar and hem that cut off right at her midsection, plus a midi skirt with matching embellishments. The outfit showed off Ivanka's abs, to be sure, but many felt like this wasn't the right moment for her to showcase the results of her core workouts. 

This seems to be a pattern that plagues her, as Ivanka frequently opts for ensembles that strike the wrong note. Ivanka has sported several outfits that cost more than the average U.S. rent, giving off an aura of being out-of-touch and elitist. On other occasions, she's worn looks that were largely considered scandalous, whether the outfit was wrong for the event or just too revealing, as was the case with Tiffany's wedding. On top of all of that, Ivanka's had plenty of outfits that simply missed the mark, like the metallic silver dress she wore at a moment when migrant children in detention were wearing thermal blankets. While there's so much to go over in Ivanka's sartorial history, her rehearsal dinner dress stands out, as it still gets talked about as an awkward moment.

Common wedding etiquette requires guests to dress stylishly and considerately, in ways that don't upstage the bride on her big day. But when Ivanka Trump showed up to the rehearsal dinner for her sister, Tiffany Trump, in November 2022, she was guilty of making this fumble. While there's no problem with trying to look good for a wedding, it's polite to avoid wearing outfits, and colors, that are too flashy or revealing. Ivanka's cropped pink outfit was attention-grabbing and showed off both her shoulders and her stomach. To make matters worse, the back of the top was completely bare, save for two black straps.   

Whether Ivanka meant to steal the spotlight or not, people on X certainly thought she wore the wrong outfit. "The supply chain disrupted her ability to get enough fabric to complete the dress?" one user questioned. "Or, she hates her little sister so much she wore that to try to upstage her on her wedding day? Gross." 

"Wearing a tacky bejeweled midriff baring outfit to your half sister's wedding? No, No, a thousand no's," another user wrote. "She's wearing THAT dress to a wedding? I would be pissed if my sister wore that to my wedding, but maybe that's the point. Just proves being rich does not mean you have any class," a third chimed in. People were very opinionated about Ivanka's outfit. We've got to wonder if Tiffany was, too.
