Sarah Huckabee Sanders' Floral Dress Looks Like It Could Use An Iron

Sarah Huckabee Sanders has had a few fashion blunders in her day, and one of them includes stepping out in a wrinkled blue dress. The governor of Arkansas shared a photo on Instagram on March 31, 2025, of herself with her parents, Mike and Janet Huckabee, to commemorate a new milestone in her father's career. Her father, the former governor of Arkansas, was named ambassador to Israel in February 2025 under President Donald Trump. 

In the caption, Huckabee Sanders wrote: "Arkansas is going to miss you! I'm so glad we could celebrate my parents last night. There is no one better to represent our country in Israel than @GovMikeHuckabee!" While the emphasis of the photo was on her relationship with her parents, we couldn't miss the unfortunate state of her dress. Huckabee Sanders' navy, knee-length dress, cinched with a belt, was completely wrinkled, making her outfit appear casual and disheveled. The dress featured buttons up the front and elbow-length puff sleeves that were also wrinkled. It seemed too sloppy and unkempt on the governor for what appeared to be such a monumental moment.

While Sarah Huckabee Sanders' wrinkled blue dress was one unfortunate moment in her sartorial history, the governor of Arkansas has repeatedly been in the spotlight for fashion slips. In fact, just a month or so later, Huckabee Sanders stepped out in the exact same dress for a meeting with Ivanka Trump, posting photos of the still-wrinkled outfit on Instagram. Huckabee Sanders always goes for a tired dress trend that she seriously needs to let go of, comprised of a knee-length frock with three-quarter sleeves, cinched with a belt. Her blue dress was the most recent iteration of that same style, and to make matters worse, the blue dress was disastrously wrinkled. 

In other moments, the governor has gone for the same dress style but in leather, and the outcome is equally as dismal, proving that Huckabee Sanders needs to let go of the leather look. On March 6, 2025, she shared a photo to X again celebrating her father's ambassadorship to Israel, wearing a red, belted leather dress that felt wrong for the occasion. 

We don't want to judge her too harshly. No doubt her job requires constant travel, so clothing is that much more likely to get wrinkled. And in terms of repeating the same dress style, she likely has other things on her mind and has found something that feels comfortable and familiar. Nonetheless, as a public figure, it's advantageous to look as polished as possible. These wardrobe mistakes distract from the professional persona she no doubt wishes to inhabit. Adding these fashion blunders together, we have to say that Huckabee Sanders needs to hire a new stylist.
