Celine Dion's Spiciest Outfits Are Head Turning

When it comes to fashion, Celine Dion is a risk-taker, and her many jaw-dropping outfits have stunned fans countless times over the years. The "My Heart Will Go On" singer has been seen in everything from structured menswear to dazzling feathered pieces that would look totally at home on stage at her Las Vegas residency. 

"I seek clothes that make me feel sexy, approachable, fierce, edgy, glamorous, fun," Dion told CR Fashion Book in 2019 (via Today). "I'm crazy about clothes. They help me to express myself, as if borrowing characters to help me perform ... They're like songs. I don't do ballads all the time; I have up-tempo songs as well."

While Dion's ballads are certainly powerhouses, it's her "up-tempo" outfits that have made sartorial history. Some of her spiciest outfit choices have been quite daring, and she's clearly not afraid of showing some skin. Whether she's on the red carpet or hitting up fashion week, Dion made sure that all eyes are on her with bold fashion 'fits that wowed.

Way before celebs rocked the see-through look, Celine Dion aced the sheer clothing trend at the 1997 Grammy Awards. The "I'm Alive" singer donned a gauzy gown with a diamond pattern that showed just a hint of her undergarments. It was a simple dress with a halter neckline, but Dion looked dazzling that evening. With her hair teased at the crown and no jewelry to distract from the racy sheer look, the Grammy winner took sexy elegance to the next level.

Celine Dion doesn't have to show a lot of skin to be daring. In 1999, she showed up to the Oscars in a white satin Christian Dior suit with the jacket worn backwards. Dion carried off the loose outfit with ease, and the look is talked about to this day. 

"When I wore that, everyone was wearing dresses, not pants," Dion told People, calling the look "avant-garde." "I was the only one with pants in a backward suit from Galliano and if I would do this today it would work." Dion was right about her then-controversial choice — menswear outfits have since become a celebrity staple.

Celine Dion was quite the striking figure in her emerald green gown during the 2017 Grammy Awards. The Zuhair Murad Couture dress featured gorgeous tiny sequins that literally had Dion dazzling on the red carpet, and the darling bow at her waist was just the right touch. However, what made the native Canadian's dress really jaw-dropping was the super deep V-neck that went down to her navel, as well as thigh-high slit on one side. If Dion wanted to get noticed that night, she certainly succeeded.

Celine Dion may not have been a model during Paris Fashion Week in 2019, but she definitely could have been confused for one in her structured, netted Iris Van Herpen dress. The wavy mesh material looked like it had been spray-painted red, with patches of black throughout, and fell all the way down to her toes. The result was a futuristic look that managed to be both avant-garde and sexy at the same time. It's safe to say that this dress is one of Dion's most head-turning 'fits.

Celine Dion proved just what a fashion icon she is when she stepped out in a bright pink blazer, a matching button-down shirt, and a pleated skirt worn over loose slacks. While there was a lot going on, Dion somehow styled the dresses over pants trend without looking ridiculous. Perhaps it was her statuesque figure or the fact she kept the color palette monochromatic, but her power outfit worked. We could picture Elle Woods or Barbie rocking this boss look any day.
