Experience
Fan has reported news in Cambodia, Czech Republic, and China, where she covered politics, economics, gender, labor, media reform, and historical trauma.She has worked for Newsweek, Reuters, Southern People Weekly, and Caijing. Photography is Fan's second language to explore humanity and the possibilities of living in the world. She is curious about underrepresented and marginalized communities and hopes to make the unseen seen.
Education
Fan graduated with honors from New York University with double majors in journalism and politics, and a minor in documentary.
She is also an alumna of Columbia Journalism School, where she concentrated on criminal justice, labor, and immigration news.
