Before television productions relied on today's advanced technology, Lynda Carter — who played the eponymous hero in the "Wonder Woman" TV show from the 1970s — was hanging from helicopters and wrestling bad guys without the help of elaborate special effects. The same could be said of the former Miss World USA winner's naturally stunning good looks and bombshell appeal, which needed no fancy camera enhancements.

Known for her hourglass silhouette, lustrous brunette hair, icy blue eyes, and effortless beauty, Carter has remained the definitive image of Wonder Woman for decades, inspiring everything from Halloween costumes and memorabilia to film portrayals of the iconic superhero. After ditching her red and gold-embellished bustier, blue star-spangled shorts, and gold tiara that she famously wore in the 1970s "Wonder Woman" TV series, Carter went on the appear in a string of films and shows, including "The Dukes of Hazzard," "Supergirl," and the "Super Troopers" franchise.

Decades after the show first aired, Carter looks as radiant as ever with the recognizable face fans have come to associate with Wonder Woman. Attending the Gabrielle's Angel Foundation's Angel Ball in October 2026, the 75-year-old actor stepped out in a form-fitting, sheer-illusion diamanté gown paired with a cascading ruffled coat. She still wears her hair with the same voluminous layers, falling below her shoulders in a rich brunette color, devoid of any grays. Her unmistakable blue eyes and signature smile remain as captivating as ever.

Lynda Carter is an advocate of aging naturally

Blessed with the gift of aging gracefully and a beauty that hasn't changed much over the years, Lynda Carter isn't playing by society's beauty rules and hasn't relied on expensive cosmetic treatments to maintain her timeless glow. The Hollywood star was simply taken aback when a Hello! reporter asked about the secret behind her radiant complexion at the 2026 Angel Ball. "Honestly and truly it's soap and water," Carter replied.

Like other celebs that are embracing aging in Hollywood, Carter believes her approach to aging naturally is part of the reason why she has retained her signature looks. Speaking to People in 2024, she said, "People still recognize me all the time as Wonder Woman. I don't know that I've changed too dramatically." She further explained that she's intentionally avoided cosmetic surgery on her face. "I don't cut my face, so I probably look just myself, but older," she said, adding that she finds the prospect of facial plastic surgery frightening after seeing some bad results.

The actor admitted that her glamorous red carpet appearances do come with a little help from a very talented glam team. "That outcome is spending time in a chair with some really good people doing your hair and makeup," she said, noting that having a stylist also makes a difference. Her look at Paris Fashion Week in January 2025 is proof of one of those fashionable moments, as seen above. Wearing an all-black Schiaparelli ensemble featuring a leather jacket over a turtleneck midi dress, and textured black boots, the then 73-year-old screen legend showed she's just as stylish as she is timeless.
