For some movie or TV roles in Hollywood, a severe transformation is required. And that was what Jill Wagner faced when she was cast as Bobby in the spy thriller show, "Lioness." She had to undergo a strict fitness routine in order to be physically ready for the part, showing how this goes beyond just a haircut or a style change, as seen in Wagner's gorgeous transformation. It certainly wasn't a walk in the park, considering she'd had two pregnancies and was skeptical if she could actually reach her aesthetic goal within the limited timeframe. In an exclusive sit-down with Muscle & Fitness, Wagner detailed her rigorous workout regimen that's perfect for women looking to regain strength and muscle mass.

For a period of two years, Wagner's routine was aimed at helping her gain the musculature and physique of a soldier. According to her trainers, the best way to achieve that is through weight training. "Weight training opened a whole new perspective for me," the Hallmark star told the publication, proudly adding, "I'm 47 years old, and I'm probably in the best shape of my life."
And seeing as Wagner has clearly succeeded in accomplishing her fitness goals, there's no reason why other women can't either.

How you can follow Jill Wagner's strength-building workout regimen

Jill Wagner's fitness routine is definitely one way for women to get into exercising in their 50s and beyond. Thankfully, the "Teen Wolf" star isn't shy about sharing her workout regimen in this short clip posted to her personal TikTok account, making it easy for women to follow along at home or at their local gym. The veteran actor could be seen lifting dumbbells, doing bicycle crunches, push-ups, and pull-ups, and using the cable machine for strength training. "I always like to keep in mind that there is a possibility that Bobby lives on, so I want to be able to jump back into her body without having to start from ground zero," she wrote in the caption, before hinting that she will also be training for another role.

But the former "Wipeout" co-host revealed that working out isn't the only way she gained enough muscle for her "Lioness" character. What she put into her body was a major contributing factor as well. She overhauled her diet and included as much protein as possible, and clearly, the results speak for themselves. Truly, Wagner's commitment to her roles and willingness to put in the work shows why she went far in Hollywood.
