Oprah Winfrey, Shailene Woodley & More Stars Who Mastered The Anti-Jean Trend Dominating Fall
Fall 2026 has us inspecting our wardrobe to see what to toss out and update. And, among the outdated fashion trends to ditch in 2026, jeans seem to be falling out of favor for the cooler weather. Several notable celebs are leading the charge in this burgeoning anti-jeans trend, with Oprah Winfrey counting as one of them. Instead of casual denim, this fall sees us swapping out jeans for fashionable khakis.
As seen in the image above, taken in September 2026, Oprah Winfrey is clearly showing us how to style this dominating trend for fall 2026. Posing alongside Emily Curl, the media mogul donned khaki pants in camel suede and paired them with a powder blue sweater with lace trimmings. She completed the look with a pair of simple white sneakers, her hair styled in loose waves just below her shoulders. Winfrey is clearly killing two birds with one stone with this look. From infusing vintage vibes through the lace trim trend to mastering the anti-jean trend, Winfrey pulled this fashion moment off effortlessly.
Other celebs are hopping on the anti-jean trend
Oprah Winfrey isn't the only one opting for khakis over jeans this fall, as other celebs have also taken note. One of them is supermodel Cindy Crawford, who attended the European Masters in September 2026 in Switzerland while donning the anti-jean trend. As seen in the image above, the beauty icon is wearing white khakis with a white V-neck shirt and a belt to match, completing the look with a light brown cardigan and loafers in a similar shade. "Chic, refined, gorgeous, classy, always the best," an Instagram user praised.
"Divergent" star Shailene Woodley has also decided to jump headfirst into wearing khaki, having been sighted out and about in them back in July 2026. Similar to Winfrey, "The Fault in Our Stars" actor chose the classic khakis in camel brown. She kept it simple by styling them with a black shirt and a light gray cap, a guitar case strapped to her back as she smiled at the camera. With A-list celebs bowing their heads to the anti-jean trend, there's no doubt that khakis are here to stay.
