Old Hollywood was considered the golden years of the industry, but even as it ended in the early 1960s, the proceeding years have continued to bless us with timeless flicks and unforgettable stars. And one of those standout stars is Ali MacGraw. She made a name for herself on films like "Goodbye, Columbus" and "Love Story," winning over audiences with her charm and undeniable good looks. With it being decades since she last graced our screens, we were curious about how she's doing today.

And based on the image above, MacGraw is the definition of aging with grace. In an Instagram Reel posted back in February 2025 by celebrity photographer Elder Ordonez, the three-time Golden Globe winner is seen stepping out of the Lowell Hotel. Dressed impeccably in a sharp black suit, and with her silver-gray hair tied back into a severe bun, she had kind smiles for everyone. "Ali MacGraw ... One of the most stylish women ever," an Instagram user commented. MacGraw turned 87 in 2026 and is certainly one of the celebs confronting aging with confidence.

Ali MacGraw thinks she's had a good run in Hollywood

Ali MacGraw didn't set out to be an actor, having stumbled into it after launching her career as a fashion model. But even she herself admitted that she was taken aback at the level of success she found with "Goodbye, Columbus," "Love Story," and her succeeding films. Although her eventual decision to leave it all behind was astounding, MacGraw revealed that she'd had enough of all the glitz and the glam of Hollywood, as well as being so exhausted with our culture of being obsessed with how celebs look.

"I had extraordinary opportunities, but really, it's a killer to wake up overnight and suddenly have everybody falling all over you," she shared (per Woman's World). Now "The Getaway" star keeps a relatively low-profile, enjoying a private, idyllic life away from the cameras in her home in New Mexico. She stated that living far from Hollywood has been very freeing, and she occupies her time by spending it with family and delving into activism and philanthropy. Truly, an enviable, yet well-deserved, retirement.
