Isla Fisher Swears By This Beauty Tip & It's Perfect Advice For Older Women

As she enters her 50s, Isla Fisher is focused on caring for her skin with a beauty rule that not only keeps her complexion looking incredible, but also helps her feel her best. Namely, hydration. The Australian actor spoke to New Beauty following her partnership with IT Cosmetics in April 2026, sharing her favorite products and why they work for her at this stage in her life. "One thing about my skin now ... I feel like I need a lot more moisture," she said, naming the brand's Confidence in a Cream anti-aging hydrating moisturizer as her daily must-have. The product promises to strengthen and repair the skin's moisture barrier for healthier-looking soft supple skin. For Fisher, when her skin is well-hydrated, she also notices a positive shift in her overall outlook. "When it's dewy and glowy, I feel really confident."

The "Confessions of a Shopaholic" star strikes the perfect balance by pairing it with the brand's flagship product, the CC+ Cream Foundation. "It just seemed so in my wheelhouse. I was given it, and it just did so many things," she said, including providing coverage, hydration, color correction, and SPF protection, which she says is particularly important to her given her hair color.

"I'm a ginger, so I burn, and this gives you the SPF 50 coverage," she told People, adding the other benefits. "It's got the anti-aging ingredients, which let's face it, we all love. And it's a moisturizer, it's a concealer, and it's got primer. And it has those ingredients like hyaluronic acid, which I can barely pronounce, but it does reduce the look of the fine lines and stuff."

Fisher admits that she's not one for demanding beauty routines, nor does she want to be burdened with an exhaustive list of products. "I'm basically the laziest person in beauty that you'll ever meet," she candidly told People. "I'm not particularly a hyper-disciplined person. I'm not going to go on a cleanse. I'm not going to work out every day. I'm not going to do green juices and infrared saunas."

Without having to adjust to a skincare routine to cater to mature skin, Fisher has found what works in her two staples from IT Cosmetics. When it comes to the Confidence in a Cream, Fisher told People she simply reapplies it whenever needed. "I use it just as much as possible, even before bed, I'll just keep lathering it on my face," she said. "And I think that's what I love so much about Confidence in a Cream ... it does keep you glowing all day long. It hydrates and protects."

While the CC+ Cream Foundation may only make an appearance when she gets all glammed up, the "Wedding Crashers" actor says she's become more playful with makeup. "I'm really into contouring now, which I guess is from having teenage girls, but I'm a big fan of highlighting certain parts of my face," she told People. "It's really magic." But despite experimenting with contouring and highlighting, Fisher keeps her makeup simple. "I do think eyeshadow sits differently now," she told New Beauty. "I'm really just into a foundation, an eyelash primer, a mascara and a bit of a cheek tint. That's it."
