Jaclyn Smith Has The Healthiest Take On Aging: 'No One Stays A Charlie's Angel Forever'
Jaclyn Smith of "Charlie's Angels" fame has her own tried-and-true tactics for maintaining her looks, but for her, the most important thing to have is a healthy, practical take on aging. In a society that's obsessed with how celebs look with celebs baring all about their plastic surgery procedures, it's the ideal mindset to have. In an exclusive sit-down with People, the Golden Globe nominee didn't hold back on her thoughts on aging and was completely honest about the realities of it.
"Everybody ages, everybody changes," she candidly told the publication, "No one stays a 'Charlie's Angel' forever." Smith then added that she doesn't judge anyone for going under the knife or any other procedure, and even admitted to injecting her own fat to add volume to her face. However, she believes that augmenting your appearance to the point of being unrecognizable is the wrong way to go. Instead, embracing everything that comes with aging and simply enhancing what you already have is well worth it in the long-run.
For Jaclyn Smith, beauty is more than just focusing on your skin
Jaclyn Smith certainly knows how to take care of herself, from going on regular facials to religiously moisturizing her skin. However, the "Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy" star is mindful of her physical health, which is definitely something that should be at the forefront of all our minds. She revealed in a 2023 interview with New Beauty that she is quite disciplined about taking her vitamins, including vitamins D and C, zinc, and turmeric supplements. In Smith's mind, staying healthy to be around her family for as long as possible is her ultimate goal.
This is why the television veteran isn't bothered with what others think of her appearance, and she encourages others to live by that same creed. "[Focusing on beauty] can [eventually] turn on you, it's just so superficial," Smith exclusively shared with the Daily Mail. "If it's not wedded to something deeper, you're in trouble. You've got to be more than what's on your face." For Jaclyn Smith, what matters in her life is her family and the privilege of continuing to have a career in Hollywood. And truly, that's something more celebs should keep in mind.
