Sienna Miller's Iconic Style Doesn't Always Land With Her Teenage Daughter

Sienna Miller's daughter, Marlowe Sturridge, is growing up to be what her mother describes as 'a little fashion monster.' She's already making fashion statements on the red carpet, like when she accompanied Miller to the "War" world premiere wearing a graphic yellow tee, a black midi slip skirt, and brown suede ballet flats. The stylish teen is highly respected by her mom — a style icon in her own right — even if Sturridge doesn't always agree with her fashion choices. "She's so stylish," Miller told The Guardian. "And very critical. She's like a young Anna Wintour in her total disdain for some of the things I wear." Miller's style comes from a wardrobe that she reveals is at best 40% high street, 40% vintage, and 20% designer. "I don't honestly buy a lot of designer stuff," she told the outlet. "Because I'm really fickle and I get bored quickly."

Lucky for Sturridge, she can have her pick from both her mom's wardrobe and that of British fashion icon and model Alexa Chung, who is engaged to her dad, Tom Sturridge, at the time of writing. "She's got it all going on. She's very cool," Sienna told British Vogue. "She says she likes bottom halves from me and top halves from Alexa — and she doesn't hold back with the criticism. The other day, I put on this Chloé suede jacket — a really beautiful blue, gorgeous, cape-y thing — and she just went, 'Napoleoooon!' So I took it off."

Sienna Miller has always had a knack for fashion. Dubbed "The Queen of Boho-Chic," she was the co-creative director of the womenswear label Twenty8Twelve, collaborated with Marks & Spencer (M&S) on several limited-edition capsule collections, and partnered with Barbour for their Autumn/Winter 2026 campaign, all while juggling a professional modeling career. "From a young age, I loved clothes, and seeing what dressing up could do for my mother when she came down the stairs on her way out to dinner," Miller told British Vogue.

However, the actor — who is among celebs who had kids later in life and clapped back at criticism about it — is now a mom to two very young children and a teenager, and admits she feels lost when it comes to her style. "I have completely lost my fashion sense. I've been pregnant or breastfeeding for nearly four years, and I think something happens to the brain or you're so — tired that you sacrifice your identity," she said. "You're just 'mother' ... and not in the Gen-Z way... "

Miller has found herself relying heavily on fashion advice from her daughter and Alexa Chung, but insists she still has her fashion wits about her. "I know I have a good aesthetic," she said. "I can tell when something's lovely and when it's not, but when it comes to putting clothes together myself, I don't know — I'm just in a strange place."
