Julia Roberts' Only Daughter Grew Up To Be Gorgeous Like Her Mom
Julia Roberts' daughter, Hazel Moder, has now entered her 20-something era, and it's clearer than ever that she's just as gorgeous as her famous mom. Born in November 2004 to Roberts and her husband, Danny Moder, she and her twin brother, Phinnaeus, alongside her younger brother Henry, grew up away from the cameras. Fans have only caught an occasional glimpse of the celebrity daughter over the years. So, it has always been surprising to see those rare moments when Hazel is photographed out and about with her parents.
Attending the Cannes Film Festival in 2021 (below), Hazel made her official red-carpet debut at the "Flag Day" premiere alongside her dad, who served as the film's cinematographer. Ditching the idea of wearing a fancy couture dress or something iconic from her mom's closet, Hazel opted for a pared-back look that comprised a butterscotch yellow button-up lace dress and a pair of black chunky Mary Janes.

With her blond hair swept up into a messy-styled ponytail and what appeared to be no makeup at all, the then-16-year-old already bore a striking resemblance to a young Julia Roberts during her cool-girl reign in the '90s. "I always think that they (Hazel and her brothers) all look like me," Roberts said on CBS Sunday Morning. "And then Danny comes home from work, and I go, 'Oh, you, that's who they look like.'" Hazel may have her dad's blue eyes, but she actually has many of her mom's gorgeous features; the silhouette of her face, chin, nose, eyebrows, and even her smile.
Hazel Is Looking Even More Like Her Mom These Days
In a July 2026 outing (above), the Julia Roberts and daughter Hazel were photographed out and about in Sun Valley, Idaho, almost looking like twins. With their coordinating outfits, matching sunglasses, and similar, blond-toned hair (yes, Julia Roberts' natural hair color isn't red), it was pretty easy to see how closely Roberts and Hazel resemble each other. Besides the striking similarities in their facial features, Hazel – though a few inches shorter than her 5-foot-8-inch-tall mom – also has the same frame and posture as Roberts.
From the little Roberts has shared about Hazel over the years, we know the two also share other commonalities. Hazel has so far followed in her mother's footsteps, appearing in a cameo in the actor's 2016 movie "Mother's Day." And, despite her understated red-carpet debut at Cannes, Hazel seems to have a similar taste in fashion as her mom. Even though Julia Roberts has worn some outfits that totally missed the mark in the past, she also has some iconic award-show dresses that have apparently caught her daughter's eye. Speaking with CBS Sunday Morning in October 2022, Roberts said, "My daughter was digging through the closet looking for possible prom dresses last spring, (and) was, like, 'What's this dress?'" It was Roberts' black-and-white Valentino gown that she wore to the 2001 Academy Awards. "I said, 'Well, try it on.' It was too big for her, but she looked so lovely," Roberts recalled.
