Hollywood is the epitome of luxury and glamour, which is naturally reflected in the grand, expensive weddings of the glitterati. But before these stars even made it to the altar, they'd already spent thousands (even millions) on the priciest engagement rings imaginable. Old Hollywood may have paved the way with the most eye-wateringly expensive vintage celebrity engagement rings, but modern Hollywood elites aren't going to be left in the dust, as they've gone all out on their rings, too.

From Jennifer Lopez to Paris Hilton, these beautiful ladies have sent the world reeling with the truly unbelievable cost of their engagement rings. Whether it's five, 10, or even 20 carats, it's clear that no expense was spared when Hollywood celebs are thinking of wedding bells. And while some of these relationships sadly didn't last, they left an indelible mark, with several truly iconic and stunning pieces on par with the most iconic Old Hollywood engagement rings.

Jennifer Lopez received a $4 million ring from Marc Anthony

Marc Anthony clearly thought Jennifer Lopez deserved the best, evidenced by the engagement ring he proposed with in 2004. Designed by Harry Winston, Anthony allegedly paid $4 million for the 8.5-carat square-shaped diamond. Moreover, he was clearly showing the depth of his affection for Lopez by selecting a blue diamond, which is one of the rarest stones in the world. Unfortunately, their marriage ended after 10 years, with the pair calling it quits in 2014.

Beyonce's engagement ring is worth close to $8 million today

Jay-Z definitely understood the assignment when he decided to propose to Beyoncé in 2007. He chose a unique, rectangular, emerald-cut diamond crafted by jewelry designer-to-the-stars, Lorraine Schwartz. But he upped the ante by ensuring the gem was a whopping 24 carats, for which the price was an equally eye-popping $5 million. Almost 20 years later, the couple's marriage has continued to blossom, and so has the ring's value, which has soared to a reported $7.5 million.

Katie Holmes' sparkler cost Tom Cruise millions

Compared to the other engagement rings on this list, Katie Holmes' engagement ring from Tom Cruise was more understated, yet elegant. That doesn't mean it didn't cost a pretty penny, however, with the six-carat, oval-cut white diamond now netting an estimated value of $2.5 million. Despite its elegant simplicity, the unique band is brimming with romantic symbolism. "The split shank represents two people coming together in matrimony," Jessica Flinn, founder of Jessica Flinn Fine Jewelry, exclusively shared with HELLO, "making it not only a unique styling choice but also a meaningful one."

Paris Hilton's eye-popping rock is one of the priciest

Paris Hilton's name is synonymous with wealth, luxury, and glamour. So, it comes as no surprise that she's collected a veritable archive of extremely expensive engagement rings. One of them was the ring she received from then-beau Paris Kassidokostas-Latsis in 2005, which is a square-shaped, 24-carat, emerald-cut ring. The rock cost him an unbelievable $4.7 million (though it is now over $7 million in value), yet the couple never made it to the altar, with the engagement lasting only four months.

Vanessa Bryant's gorgeous sparkler is an unforgettable one

Late NBA legend Kobe Bryant decided that his fiancée, Vanessa Bryant, deserved a much better engagement ring than the one he initially got her. So, he spent $4 million on a rare, eight-carat purple diamond ring that was surrounded by smaller white diamonds. Now, the ring is allegedly worth an estimated $6.4 million and was certainly created to draw attention. Vanessa and Kobe tied the knot in 2001, and they remained married until his tragic death in 2020.

Anna Kournikova's two engagement rings are worth millions

Enrique Iglesias thought his partner, professional athlete Anna Kournikova, needed not one, but two engagement rings. And they're not your typical white diamonds. The first ring is a stunning, pink, pear-shaped, 11-carat diamond that was worth over $2.5 million in 2004. But Iglesias took things to another level in 2009 when he purchased another ring, costing $5.4 million. This time, it was an enormous yellow diamond, reaching an estimated value of $9 million at the time of writing. But despite never walking down the aisle, the pair has been together since 2001.
