Very few people in Hollywood history have made as much of a mark on film and TV as Glenn Close. She is renowned for her roles in "Fatal Attraction" and "Dangerous Liaisons," as well as the likes of hit TV show "Damages," consistently showing her versatility on both the big and small screen. And while she's still active after decades in Hollywood, Close knows how to sit back and relax when the cameras aren't rolling. One of the ways she spends her time in her idyllic 19th-century Montana home is to treat herself to this stress-free workout anyone can easily emulate.

"It's never been easy for me to stay on a strict schedule when I'm not working. I could easily sit and read all day long and be totally happy, but I feel guilty doing that," the three-time Golden Globe winner exclusively shared with The Hollywood Reporter. "But I'm very lucky in that I have some land outside of town, so I can go on long hikes." Glenn Close's method is certainly one of the ways to get into exercising in your 50s and beyond, which is actually ideal for older women. However, the introverted actor has since revealed that exercising isn't the only thing she's very laid-back about.

Glenn Close is also very laid-back about her skincare routine

Glenn Close is clearly someone who prefers a hassle-free, simple lifestyle, which also extends to her beauty regime. Despite being a long-time devotee of Mario Badescu, the eight-time Oscar nominee revealed that she's kept her skincare routine very pared-down for the longest time. For her, simplicity is the ethos she lives by. "I don't like a lot because I don't like long routine," Close shared, per Today. "Personal maintenance has always been, to me, very boring." And in a world of multi-step self-care routines, we completely understand.

But it makes sense why Close has such a straightforward perspective on aging and taking care of her skin. In Close's mind, we should accept what comes with aging with open arms. After all, with age comes experience and a life well-lived, and so our bodies must reflect it. "We are so brainwashed about skin. Certainly about women's skin," Close lamented in an exclusive with Glamour. And the "101 Dalmatians" star certainly fits the bill for one of the older celebs not playing by society's beauty rules, proving how much acceptance, simplicity and a nice hike can be all that you need in life.
