Newly Divorced Bunnie Xo Looks Better Than Ever On The Today Show, Urges Women To 'Be Selfish'

Divorce can be traumatic but following her recent split from singer Jelly Roll, Bunnie Xo seems to be bouncing back with inspiring resilience. During an August 2026 appearance on "Today," Bunnie Xo was glowing as she discussed life beyond her marriage. In particular, she encouraged women not to lose themselves in the work of caring for others. "As women, we put ourselves aside so much for partners, friends, kids," Bunnie Xo said. "It's like we don't pour into ourselves, and sometimes you need to be selfish, and you need to pour into yourself." 

Though Bunnie Xo first gained fame through her connection to her country star husband, she's earned her own following for her relatable and inspiring persona. She speaks openly about her past struggles and poor decisions and has a knack for finding the silver linings. From Bunnie Xo's refreshingly candid plastic surgery confessions to her dating philosophy, she is committed to being authentic.

Now, she's bringing that energy to speaking about her split. In doing so, it's clear that Bunnie Xo is rewriting the script for divorce in your 40s. "I just hope my journey can show people, like 'Hey, you know what? It doesn't matter how hard of a situation you're going through, you're going to get through that. You're going to rise up,'" said the "Dumb Blonde" podcaster and author of "Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic." 

Bunnie Xo and her ex-husband Jelly Roll have both affirmed their fondness for one another since announcing their split in May 2026. In fact, the couple are expecting a child together and have spoken about their plans to co-parent. "My husband and I are ending this marriage on the best possible terms that you could ever have a divorce," Bunnie Xo said during a June 2026 episode of her podcast "Dumb Blonde" [via DC News Now]. 

In spite of Bunnie's optimistic outlook, though, the split wasn't sunshine and rainbows. Though she maintains that neither party cheated, fans have long felt there were some major red flags in Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll's relationship. Bunnie Xo even confessed to being caught off guard when Jelly Roll filed for divorce. In a July 2026 podcast episode of "Dumb Blonde," Bunnie Xo said, "There is so much behind the scenes that I have not spoken on and that I will never speak on," adding that the grief of the breakup took a physical toll on her. 

However, Bunnie Xo has found her spark again and is enjoying life after divorce. She is continuing work on her podcast and is even considering entertaining some potential suitors in her DMs. "They should've never let me back out in the streets because I love it here, and I'm never going back," she told "Today."
