Ginger Zee Outfits That Didn't Deserve The Hate

Ginger Zee is a certified veteran in her field, an expert meteorologist whom most Americans recognize on their TV screens when tuning in to ABC News. But when you spend a large majority of your career in front of hundreds of millions, it's natural that you'd be at the receiving end of a few unwelcome comments. And the veteran media personality is well aware of that fact, as Zee had the perfect clapback to a commenter who criticized her for "not aging well." 

But aside from criticisms of her looks, Zee has also had to suffer comments about her style choices. While we've acknowledged that some on-air outfits worn by Zee has totally missed the mark, we couldn't help but think other outfits have been through some undeserved hate. Although the meteorologist could defend herself well enough from online detractors, we've compiled several of Zee's ensembles that actually suit the news veteran quite well. 

There can be no doubt that Ginger Zee was turning heads in the all-blue leather outfit she wore back in 2021. But heaven forbid she chose to re-wear any element of her outfit. And that's exactly what she did with her leather pants, as she was spotted reusing them twice more. For some users, that's just a step too far. Zee wasn't deterred by the criticism and responded in this Instagram post that there's nothing wrong with recycling your wardrobe. And based on the pictures she provided, she's rocking those blue pants.

Ginger Zee certainly loves to explore when it comes to fashion, and she doesn't let a bit of criticism stop her. She posted a picture of herself on Instagram wearing a sleeveless, figure-hugging, yellow leopard-print dress that ended above her knees. The outfit was complete with a black tie around her neck, with her hair curled and swept to one side. 

"Not a fan of the dress," an Instagram user wrote. But the deluge of positive comments overwhelmed the naysayers, with the dress doing wonders to accentuate her figure. 

In October 2022, Ginger Zee walked onto the set of "Good Morning America" in an unconventional dress of dark blue and yellow. Not only does it look unconventional, but the dress also has a name that'd raise eyebrows. The "Bimbo Dress," as the dress is called, is designed by Nigerian fashion brand Lady Biba. "@GMA Why does @Ginger_Zee dress have 1 arm tied and 1 not? It looks kind of strange," commented an X (formerly Twitter) user, per The Sun. 

But Zee ably defended her selection, stating to fans that she felt like a "superhero" in the dress in an Instagram post. It certainly fits her like a glove, and we can see why she felt confident in it.

Ginger Zee certainly looked amazing when she showed up to work in a baby pink, button-down ensemble in January 2025. She completed the look with a simple yet tasteful selection of accessories, from a silver necklace to her hoop earrings. But a viewer was instead focusing on the wrong things about her outfit, noting how Zee had the "bottom portion unbuttoned to accommodate boots" she wore alongside the dress.

Fans of Zee were critical of the comment, with one X user commenting (per Daily Mail), "I think it's kinda creepy that [he] is commenting on your clothing choices." But it was totally fine for Zee, who revealed in this X post that she's the queen of reusing outfits that work. 

Ginger Zee proudly showcased this office-ready ensemble, dressed in a white-collared shirt over a buttoned-up black cardigan and a patterned black-and-white skirt. She added hoop earrings and silver bangles, as well as a pair of pointed toe heels. Although Zee looked absolutely gorgeous in this outfit, an X user lambasted the meteorologist for dressing "like a retired stripper turned street walker". Instead of offense, Zee found humor in it, as seen in this Instagram Reel. And with how amazing she looked, it's understandable why she'd be unbothered.

In an Instagram Reel posted in March 2026, Ginger Zee showed just how resilient she was when tackling criticism about her fashion choices. The accomplished meteorologist channeled grace and spring elegance in a white, button-down, collared dress covered in floral motifs. She wore small, golden hoop earrings, with her hair curled and parted to the side. Zee proceeded to show the stinging comments she'd received, with one user commenting, "Ellie May?! Who chose that outfit?!" But Zee is secure enough in her style preferences, and we can't help but agree.
