Keke Palmer Doesn't Shave Her Legs & The Body Hair Confession Is So Refreshing
Aside from her gregarious, vibrant personality, Keke Palmer is known to speak her mind. She has told all about her views on relationships, as seen with how Keke Palmer's admission on Today has us rethinking our relationship boundaries. But the "Akeelah and the Bee" star has gone on to reveal even more deeply personal things about herself (and her body) that shows how confident she is in herself. On a segment of the "Are You Okay?" show, Palmer was asked by host Brianna Morales what she wasn't too embarrassed to share with viewers.
Without missing a beat, Palmer bluntly said, "I don't really shave my legs. I'm not doing it." Although the "Nope" star admitted that she may reach for a bottle of Nair "every six months", she then implied that she had no patience to sit still for long stretches of time to shave her legs. "If you don't like me because of the hair on my legs, then we're not meant to be," Palmer continued jokingly, while looking absolutely gorgeous in a thigh-high coral pink dress that showcased her glistening, toned legs. And it seemed fans were all supportive of Palmer's stance. "Same with the shaving. Chileeeeeeee take me as I am!" an Instagram user commented.
Keke Palmer is all for accepting your body
It's already established that Keke Palmer isn't afraid to get things off her chest, even with details that most would prefer to keep quiet on. And other than not caring about body hair, Palmer didn't hold back when she revealed her body image struggles after having her son in February 2023, despite being one of the celebrities with iconic maternity fashion. "After having the baby, my body got so much bigger," the "Hustlers" actor exclusively shared with The Cut. "And I started getting fluff in areas I never had before."
Palmer was determined to get back in shape, stating in her "Baby, This Is Keke Palmer" podcast that "it's my job" to look her best for the cameras. Working with her personal trainer, Corey Calliet, the latter revealed that he was able to set realistic health goals for Palmer's post-pregnancy body. "I said, '...Let's create a shape that was made by the baby,'" Calliet exclusively told E! News back in 2023, "It's turning things that are supposed to be looked at as negative into positive." And it's certainly paid off, as Palmer looks better than ever.
