Meghan Markle & Prince Harry's Advice For Weathering Marriage Storms Is Valuable For Everyone To Hear

Marriage isn't a walk in the park, and it takes a team effort from both sides to make it work. The Duchess of Sussex understands this very well, as seen in Meghan Markle's relationship advice to a bride-to-be. The royals' marriage has been under scrutiny ever since they exchanged Buckingham Palace for the welcoming warmth of California in 2020, and like all marriages, have gone through their own ups and downs. But Meghan Markle's own advice for weathering a storm in your marriage comes from her own husband.

"Sometimes on really hard days ... he said, 'Hey, but my love, you know, even if there's a storm happening above the storm, the sun's always shining,'" Markle shared (per People) during a Q&A portion for the premiere of the royal's documentary, "Cookie Queens" in July 2026. The "As Ever" entrepreneur then added that things really do seem a lot more serious and intense when you're in the moment, but at the end of the day you will always persevere. Prince Harry is also appreciative of his wife's own advice to "stick to the truth" and that it will always pay dividends compared to being deliberately dishonest. And with the couple having celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary in May 2026, it seems to be advice worth their salt.

The Sussexes may be in the midst of weathering their own storm

However, at the time of writing, it appears the Sussexes' marriage may be going through a low point. And we're seemingly right on the money that there are several weird things about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's relationship we can't ignore, with reported tension between the pair behind closed doors. In fact, insiders close to the couple have revealed that their differing class and cultural origins have allegedly become a point of contention between the two. Celebrity journalist Rob Shuter further peeled back the curtains on the royals' marriage and how they may be close to the breaking point.

"They're living very separate lives now," a source exclusively shared with Shuter's "Naughty But Nice" Substack. Another insider chimed in with the additional revelation that those within the Sussexes' circle are "wondering whether this marriage can survive". We can only hope that this reported difficulty they're facing would be something that the couple could work through, and that they're able to weather this storm and come out of it with their marriage intact.
