Hallmark's Nikki DeLoach Knows There's 'A Lot Of Life' In Her Wrinkles Even If She Doesn't Love How They Look
Aging is an inevitable part of life, but that does not make it an easy thing to accept. And Hallmark star Nikki DeLoach knows this better than most. In an exclusive interview with New Beauty, the "Awkward" actor admitted that watching the signs of aging materialize on her skin was a bitter pill to swallow. "I'm not sure if you get like this, but you see your lines and your wrinkles, and it's so hard not to be like, 'Oh God, make them go away,'" she told the publication.
However, the actor (who has been working for more than three decades, dating back to "The Mickey Mouse Club") has taken initiative to view her facial lines as a reflection of a full life brimming with love and joy. "[sic] I'm trying to flip that to: 'No, there's a lot of life that I've lived.'" That couldn't be more true. Over her time in the spotlight, DeLoach has built an admirable career in television and film. She then went on to tell the publication that her wrinkles are proof that she was alive. As such, DeLoach could be considered one of the celebs who are confronting aging with confidence. Still, she puts in a good amount of effort to ensure that regardless of how old she is, she looks and feels fabulous.
Nikki DeLoach cuts no corners when it comes to her skin
At the time of writing, Nikki DeLoach is in her 40s and looks absolutely smashing. But looking that good requires work and the "North Shore" actor revealed exactly how she achieves her youthful appearance. Though she had initially been hesitant to start Botox, she now credits the treatment to her glowing skin. Speaking with New Beauty, the star praised her dermatologist Dr. Lancer and revealed that she'd adjusted her skincare routine to cater to mature skin using the doctor's skincare line. One of her must-have products is the Lancer Skincare Nourish Rehydration Mask with BioPeptides, which she couldn't stop gushing about. "For anyone, especially as you age, you put that hydration mask he has on at night ... It has literally saved my face," DeLoach told New Beauty. Peptides have been shown to reduce the appearance of fine lines and other signs of skin aging, so the actor may be on to something.
The "Days of Our Lives" star also links maintaining body health with boosting skin health. And apparently, DeLoach believes bedtime consistency is the most important sleep health goal, as she considered it essential to function. "I really fight for my sleep," DeLoach revealed to the publication, "I try to prioritize sleep like nobody's business to get my eight hours." She also emphasized the importance of keeping yourself hydrated and active to preserve your health as you age.
