Rosie O'Donnell Calls Being In Her 60's 'Glorious' For One Big Reason

Rosie O'Donnell burst onto the scene as an outspoken comedian, eventually achieving worldwide fame through her eponymous talk show, "The Rosie O'Donnell Show". And like these celebs confronting aging with confidence, the former talk show host had no fear the moment she hit her 60s, as evident when O'Donnell first embraced her gray hair in the perfect way. In fact, O'Donnell has decided to view aging in a different light and toward something infinitely more positive.

"It's glorious. When you're 40 or 30, you're worried all the time—am I doing it right?" O'Donnell exclusively shared in a sit-down with People, before adding, "Now I don't really care." Instead of fretting over each new wrinkle or gray hair, the comedian has chosen to focus on other more important things in life. She revealed to the publication that she is even hopeful when it comes to love, and that she wanted to experience what it's like "to be in love again." O'Donnell certainly has her priorities straight.

Rosie O'Donnell went under the knife out of necessity

Most celebs would undergo treatments and surgeries to combat signs of aging, including facelifts as seen in these side-by-side pics of Kris Jenner that show just how unrecognizable she's become. However, for Rosie O'Donnell, it was a necessary procedure due to the excess skin she had after losing 60 lbs from Mounjaro. But it was a decision she struggled to make. "I had to wrestle with myself because as a feminist I always felt this is the male gaze and not anything I believe in," O'Donnell exclusively told People. She even outlined the internal emotional battle she had in her Substack, "Roro Subs".

"I thought it was a betrayal. Of feminism. Of aging," O'Donnell candidly wrote, "And then I had a quiet realization ... it can't be that my body belongs to an idea either. Even a good idea. Even feminism." So, the comedian ultimately decided to go under the knife, shelling out a whopping $90,000 for the procedure. The experience not only helped her tackle the aftermath of using a GLP-1 drug, but also helped her reach a resolution and peace of mind over her beliefs.
