Fans Were Devastated By Lily Allen's Divorce, But Now She's Doing Better Than Ever
Divorces are difficult, and Lily Allen famously knows this better than anyone. While the red flags in Lily Allen and David Harbour's relationship made their split unsurprising, it hit Allen hard. The alt-pop hitmaker went through a pretty tough ordeal when her split from ex-husband, actor David Harbour (2020-2025), was announced in February 2025. And she made her feelings about the divorce known to The Observer, still reeling from heartbreak, as well as the euphoria that comes on the back of a successful album release. "I hate feeling like I can't trust anyone," Allen exclusively shared with the publication.
But thankfully, a year after the divorce, it seems the "Smile" singer has moved on and is happy with where she is in life. Based on this Instagram carousel Allen made in July 2026, she is enjoying the fruits of her career. "Bilbao Bagginsing off round Europe," Allen wrote in the caption, alongside pictures of food, museums, and even a candid selfie of the star in bed. "Hahah excellent caption," wrote one Instagram user. Her own brother, "Game of Thrones" actor Alfie Allen, posted a smiley face emoji in the comments.
Lily Allen isn't afraid to spill the beans about her messy divorce
Lily Allen isn't the type to stay silent on things, especially when it comes to her tumultuous divorce. "The Fear" chart-topper used the dark feelings she had toward Harbour and their split as fresh material for her new album, released in late 2025, called "West End Girl". The songs within the album were replete with scandalous details about just what was happening behind the scenes, and what ultimately led to their acrimonious breakup.
In the album, Allen detailed how loveless the marriage was, as well as implying that Harbour had been unfaithful. Harbour himself has come out to touch briefly upon their doomed relationship after Allen's album dropped. "Stories are complex and that's why I say I respect her creation of art to channel her experience," the "Stranger Things" star exclusively shared with Variety, before adding an important caveat: "It wasn't my experience." However, it seems Allen has been healing emotionally and doesn't really need our best tips for getting back into dating after a divorce, as she's now, at the time of writing, in a relationship with Jonah Freud.
