Kate Middleton's Summer Wardrobe Includes A Dress Style Perfect For Women In Their 40s
Ever since she entered the royal family in 2011, Kate Middleton has gone through a stunning style transformation. After 15-plus years as a British royal, the Princess of Wales has grown more confident in her fashion choices, and she has certainly learned how to keep it classy in her 40s. And with summer upon us, Kate has displayed her keen fashion instincts by selecting a summer dress with truly no age limit.

Alongside her husband, Prince William, Kate attended the 2026 Royal Charity Polo Cup on July 10. She instantly stood out in an eye-catching, sleeveless black-and-white gingham dress that looks ideal for the summer. The garment had a square neckline and a flowy skirt that ended right above her ankles, which she paired with nude slingback heels. It appears to be the best choice for beating the summer heat and is definitely one of the 2026 fashion trends that women over 40 will want in their closet. But that's far from the only style inspo the princess has given us for the warm weather season.

Mere days after her appearance at the Royal Charity Polo Cup, Kate Middleton showed up to the 2026 Wimbledon in another stunning statement dress. As seen in the image above, this look is far more formal than what she wore to the charity event, but is seemingly made of lightweight material fitting for the summer season. The deep mossy green caped dress designed by Emilia Wickstead, complete with Van Cleef & Arpels earrings and a pair of dark brown pumps was effortlessly graceful without being overly stuffy.
But the princess then wore another dress to the Wimbledon tournament, an eye-popping, form-fitting deep red dress. The dress was designed by Roland Mouret and featured short sleeves, a tailored top and a pencil skirt. She also wore a ruby and diamond set to match the dress and white suede pumps. Kate Middleton has clearly meticulously planned out her summer wardrobe with the appropriate dress styles, and it's something that women in their 40s can easily follow.
