Sara Gilbert's Exes Who Have Spoken Out About Their Relationship

Sara Gilbert has made a name for herself in entertainment, gaining stardom on hit shows like "Roseanne" and "The Conners." But Gilbert has maintained a relatively low profile regarding her love life. Similar to how Taylor Swift's exes have spoken out about their relationship with the singer, some of Gilbert's past partners have spilled the beans about Gilbert as well. Sara Gilbert was in a 10 year relationship with television producer Allison Adler, with Gilbert saying, "I wouldn't trade that time, it's such a special time in my life." However, Adler has stayed silent about Gilbert and has not touched upon the subject of their relationship, but Gilbert's ex-wife, Linda Perry, has spoken out.

4 Non Blondes singer Linda Perry married "The Big Bang Theory" actor in 2014, with the couple splitting in 2019. The pair share one child together, and in an effort to co-parent well, the former couple have managed to form a friendly bond that Perry appreciates. "It's really a beautiful relationship," she exclusively shared with People, before adding that there was no animosity on either side and that the focus was on their child. "We're never not going to be a family. There doesn't feel like much of a separation because we're always together," Perry continued, while calling Gilbert her "best friend." Although some marriages end badly, Gilbert and Perry have both built something admirable, and it could be said both women have had a post-divorce glow-up since their split.

Sara Gilbert has a lot of gratitude for one of her exes

Another one of Sara Gilbert's exes is former "Roseanne" co-star Johnny Galecki. Galecki, who is best known for his role as Leonard in "The Big Bang Theory," clearly has a lot of love for Gilbert, and the feeling is mutual. Gilbert had a lot to say about her ex-boyfriend, and it was full of positivity, emotion, and overwhelming gratitude. In fact, the two-time Emmy nominee said that being with Galecki helped her realize and embrace her sexuality. On a segment of "The Talk," Gilbert revealed that trying to be intimate with her then-boyfriend left her feeling as if something was not right within her.

After realizing that she was lesbian, Gilbert confessed to Galecki. "[I] eventually told him I thought it was about my sexuality and he was super sweet about it," she shared with her fellow co-hosts, per TV Guide. She also made it clear that Galecki had given her permission to discuss this on the show, telling her, "I think it's really important." Galecki proved to be a vital emotional support base for Gilbert, and he kept Gilbert's sexuality under wraps until she was ready to talk about it, since the talk show host was afraid it could impact her career. But years on, their friendship has lasted through thick and thin, with Galecki even telling her he "will be there" to hold her hand. Truly, no friendship has ever been sweeter.
