'Time Changes Your Perspective': Gisele Bündchen Is Over 40 And Loving Her Life

While some people are forever chasing youth, there are also those who live each day accepting the evolution of time. Supermodel Gisele Bündchen, who looks stunning without makeup, has chosen the latter and is one of the celebs confronting aging with confidence. In an April 2026 interview with Harper's Bazaar, the mom of three revealed how her perspective on aging has changed after entering her 40s. While she admitted that, as young as she was when she made her debut on the runway, she naively thought anyone over 20 was old. 

"Now, I'm going to be 46, and I think I'm so young! It's funny how time changes your perspective," she said. And if anyone can say that, it's Bündchen. Longtime fans of hers know she's always been the type of person to be spotted going on runs and hasalways eaten clean to nourish her body. Oh, and did we mention she welcomed a baby in early 2025? She is proof that you are as young as you say you are. 

But her shift in perspective has gone beyond her physique and lifestyle. Bündchen shared she's also living for herself and her happiness in her 40s, which is something she wasn't always able to do in her younger years. "I've always been a people pleaser. I wanted to make sure everyone was happy," she explained. Her 40s look different, and she's started asking herself what she values and what her priorities are before anyone else's. 

It would be more than ideal to never have to go through heartbreak and life-altering events, but that's just life. And, no one is immune to a life lived, even Gisele Bündchen. Sometimes, finding your ultimate peace means ending something that you hoped so much would work out. In October 2022, the supermodel finalized her divorce from her husband of more than a decade, NFL star Tom Brady. No matter the terms the two were on throughout the divorce, an end always brings heartbreak.

In a September 2023 CBS Sunday Morning interview, Gisele Bündchen, whose life has truly evolved beautifully after her divorce from Tom Brady, got candid about how painful the ending was, but it ended up being just what she needed. In the sit down interview, the supermodel explained that her parents' marriage was what she longed to have and that divorce was never anything she had planned or wanted. 

But it happened anyway, and instead of dwelling on what could have happened differently, she chose to accept where she was in life. In fact, she said, even if she were given the opportunity to do so, she wouldn't change anything about her life. She added, "When a door shuts, other doors open." Another door full of happiness did open for Bündchen as she found new love and even welcomed a new bundle of joy in her 40s.
