Constance Wu Is So Stunning Without Makeup
This may be hard to believe, but Constance Wu is 44 years old as of 2026. And not only is she one of the celebs over 40 with amazing hair for salon inspo, but she really doesn't look a day over 40. While many celebs manage to look a bit younger with some makeup, Constance Wu doesn't need it to show off her youthful glow. In fact, some of her best looks may be the actor going makeup-free and letting her naturally radiant skin take center stage.
In June 2026, the "Fresh Off the Boat" actor took to her Instagram to show off her body post-workout, but her physique wasn't the only thing that left everyone speechless. Sporting a bra top with low waist trainers, she looked on-trend and effortlessly youthful, and her mirror selfie showed off a bare face in which her skin was radiating.
While fans are used to seeing her all glammed up in elegant red carpet gowns, this raw, unfiltered look at her dedication to fitness was a refreshing change of pace. It's always a treat seeing famous ladies all glammed up, or even seeing celebs who dared to wear no makeup on the red carpet, but getting a behind-the-scenes glimpse into what a star looks like living their day-to-day life is really the most relatable.
Looking ageless or beautiful has never been a priority for Constance Wu
While Constance Wu surely doesn't mind being complimented for looking so stunning without makeup, the actor has always been a celeb who confronted aging with confidence and has never been one to prioritize a flawless facade over what's going on inside. Of course, growing up, she felt the pressures to conform to familiar beauty standards. In a short essay penned for Allure in 2017, she opened up about her struggles when she was younger with loving herself and how she tries her best to embrace her natural self now.
There were times when Wu wanted so badly to fit in and look a certain way, but she unlearned those metrics decided by her environment and the media. Being able to break free from that societal pressure is likely why she feels comfortable enough sharing a makeup-free selfie with her fans today. In the essay, Wu also had a message for younger people: "There are so many other ways, besides body type, to create your self-worth. Kindness, intelligence, wit, talent — this list goes on."
In fact, her own exploration of self-worth in her teens is what made her fall in love with theater. "The people who shared my spirit were always the theater kids. The theater community was where you often met gay people, other people of color, people who weren't trying to fit in but instead were interested in what made you different," the actor shared.
