Actor Didi Conn of "Grease" fame turned 74 in 2025, but she still looks as radiant as ever. Her secret? She doesn't use soap. The star, who played Frenchy in the hit musical film, told People that it's "the most basic thing," and explained that she opts for a mild cleanser and a warm towel instead. This seems to be a good move, as dermatologist Dr. Anthony Rossi told Time that soap "contains many ingredients that just don't do well for the skin." He went on to essentially say that soap is too harsh for the skin, and may lead to irritation and damage to the skin barrier.

Warm towels, on the other hand, are beneficial, as they can improve circulation, allowing more oxygen and nutrients to reach your skin cells. They also open pores, releasing trapped oils, dirt, and makeup. This allows the cleanser to easily do its job, leaving you with clean and soft skin. Conn also advised, "You want to keep moisturizing." According to the National Institute on Aging, skin may produce less oil as one ages. Hormones may also cause the skin to become drier as time goes on. Remember, hydrating and moisturizing your skin are different things, so you'll definitely want to use a product to prevent moisture loss and keep the skin soft.

Didi Conn has a beauty partnership

Didi Conn also spoke to New Beauty and revealed that she uses Laura Geller products on both her face and her hair. Conn actually has a partnership with Laura Geller Beauty and has helped to launch its Root Touch Up. Conn doesn't seem to be one of the celebrities who have embraced their graying natural hair color, and instead prefers to cover the gray hairs up. And that's perfectly okay, as the brown hair suits her. Conn playfully said, "Say you all of a sudden get invited out to dinner and there's a little of a streak like a skunk. You don't want to look skunky."

Conn also gushed about Laura Geller's Better Than 'Block foundation with SPF 50. Although it seems to provide great protection, you'll need more than sunscreen in your arsenal to protect against UV rays. We recommend wearing sunglasses and a hat, too. In addition, Conn is a fan of Laura Geller's Spackle Primer, which is used before applying makeup. She explained that she uses Laura Geller products because they're made specifically for mature individuals.
