Twiggy is often considered to be the world's first supermodel. With her big, blue eyes and short hair – which has become one of the most iconic celebrity pixie cuts – she was instantly recognizable. Decades later, the '60s icon still looks stunning as ever, as seen in a 2026 photo shared to Instagram — though these days, she's wearing a totally different style
Standing beside celebrity hairstylist John Frieda, Twiggy can be seen rocking long, blond hair with bangs. She smiled and looked stylish, as always. Fans took note of the former model's appearance in the comments. "She is like a very fine wine... more fabulous and fierce with age!!" wrote one user. "Twiggy has aged beautifully," added another.
In the post caption, Twiggy reflected on the day she met Frieda, writing: "So lovely to join John Frieda to celebrate 50 years of his salons. We first met in 1967 when he was a junior stylist at Leonard's hairdressing salon in Mayfair & he would wash my hair!" She also went on to praise Frieda's talent and personality. Interestingly, on the podcast,
"Table Manners with Jesse Ware"
, Twiggy revealed she initially did not even want the pixie cut that would eventually become her signature style. She had only gone to the hairdresser to wash and set her hair, but someone insisted that she cut it. Twiggy admitted she was too shy to say no, but the photos with her new haircut became popular. Still, even without the pixie cut that defined her youthful years, the former supermodel has some beauty secrets that keep her looking her best.
Twiggy revealed her beauty secrets
Speaking to British Vogue in 2019, Twiggy revealed how she maintains her beauty and wellness secrets. She explained her love for Pilates, and how it "changed [her] life" after she got a bad back. Pilates differs from yoga (which Twiggy says she's not good at) because it focuses on core strength, toning, and posture. Yoga, on the other hand, focuses on deep stretching, breathing, and flexibility. Both are beneficial for overall health, but wall Pilates, in particular, reduces lower back pain and increases range of motion in the joints. Beyond its physical benefits, Pilates may also reduce stress and increase energy.
Although at the time of writing, it remains unclear if she has had any work done, Twiggy has previously gone on record saying she has never had plastic surgery and would never get Botox (via The Guardian). And although the former model has never been totally clear about her skincare routine, she attributes her skin health to following tried-and-true beauty advice, like never going to bed with makeup on her face. The reason sleeping with makeup on is not recommended is because it traps oil, dirt, and pollution in your skin. This prevents the skin from being able to undergo its repair process effectively.
As for body care, the model revealed that she moisturizes a lot. And the products she uses are quite affordable, too. She said she loves the Aveeno lotion because it has oats.
