Hannah Waddingham's Skincare Routine Includes Lots Of Beauty Treatments (But No Needles!)
Looking good is hard work, and this isn't news to actor Hannah Waddingham. There's no doubt that she looks absolutely radiant in her 50s, leading us to believe she must have some tips for keeping your skin youthful as you age. But unlike her peers in the Hollywood scene, Waddingham is against injecting anything into her body, nor is she interested in going under the knife to preserve her appearance. It's not only her personal philosophy — she's also terrified of needles, which has affected her decision-making. Instead, she's opted for alternatives when it comes to her skincare routine.
The "Game of Thrones" star has revealed that she consistently receives collagen-boosting facials on a regular basis from famous aesthetician Shane Cooper, whose clientele also includes other A-listers such as Sabrina Carpenter and Suki Waterhouse. But a clear priority for Waddingham when it comes to her skin is permanent, long-lasting results over temporary satisfaction. "I'm not one for the Band-Aid of something appearing to make you smoother for a couple of months," Waddingham told Women's Health, "It's just not for me." It's clear that Waddingham's wellness philosophy is a rarity among Hollywood elites who opt for cosmetic procedures, while she chooses the route of confronting aging with confidence.
An in-depth look into how Hannah Waddingham keeps looking her best
But what exactly does it take to make Hannah Waddingham look her best both on and off the red carpet? Well, her aforementioned favorite facialist and aesthetician-to-the-stars, Shane Cooper, isn't stingy about sharing his secrets with the world. Firstly, Cooper takes the "Ted Lasso" star's skin needs into consideration, as well as what she wants to see by the end of the treatment. It seems they're a match made in heaven, as Cooper is also a firm believer in keeping needles out of the skincare equation. "It's completely bespoke and tailored at the moment of the treatment," the expert facialist exclusively shared with Good Housekeeping, before stressing, "It does not involve injectables."
Aside from incorporating LED light and oxygen therapy into her collagen-boosting facials to help maintain and repair her skin barrier, Waddingham has also taken Cooper's at-home skincare advice to heart. Not only is SPF a non-negotiable, but so are some of Cooper's skincare products. In a dedicated segment of Harper's Bazaar's "Go To Bed With Me" series, the Emmy-award-winning actor heaped praise on Cooper's Oxygenation Mask. "I use it before I get on a flight, I use it when I get off a flight [...] Absolutely brilliant. Totally worth the money," Waddingham touted to the camera, before cheekily adding, "And I'm not being sponsored."
