Nobody embodied the era of '60s glamour, fashion, and decadence more than model and photographer Pattie Boyd. Aside from being on the covers of Vogue and exemplifying once-popular beauty trends from the '70s, she was also a great influence on some of the greatest rock legends we've ever seen. Boyd was married first to The Beatles' George Harrison (1966-1977), then to guitarist Eric Clapton (1979-1989) after she split from Harrison for good. Clearly, Boyd was the 'It Girl' of her time, which would make one wonder what she looks like today.
After a turbulent, though colorful life she had in the rock n' roll scene of the '60s and '70s, Boyd has since led a much quieter life in comparison. She has built a career out of photography, displaying her professional photographs in numerous exhibitions over the years. In 2022, she published a massive collection of photos she'd gathered over the years in "Pattie Boyd: My Life in Pictures", which includes her time with "The Beatles" as well as early photoshoots she did as she broke into modeling.
Pattie Boyd was at the center of a legendary love triangle
It's not every day that two rock n' roll legends fight it out with music over who gets to win your love, but that's exactly what happened to Pattie Boyd. Boyd had already inspired numerous hit songs that were allegedly written about her, from Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" to George Harrison's "Something". As mentioned earlier, Boyd tied the knot with Harrison in 1966, but by 1970, their marriage was already tearing apart at the seams. But at the same time, Clapton was infatuated with Boyd and was writing desperate love letters to her, with Boyd herself admitting she was interested.
Things came to a head after Clapton admitted his feelings for Boyd to Harrison, and the two fought it out with guitar chords. But in the end, Boyd split from Harrison. And she didn't even need tips for getting back to dating after a divorce, as she quickly moved on with Clapton. They wed in 1979, but the marriage didn't last either. "Eric just wanted what George had," Boyd later realized as she thought back on her relationships with the two men, per Guitar Player. But Boyd has since found love again with property developer Rod Weston, and they've been together for more than 30 years.
