Christine Taylor Says Ben Stiller Relationship Is 'Stronger Than Ever' After Therapy

While the coronavirus pandemic saw a shocking rise in breakup and divorce rates, it actually helped bring some couples back together, with Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor being one such couple. The pair did not divorce, but separated for a time in 2017, which Taylor described as a difficult time in her life that left her feeling 'dejected'. But in an unexpected turn of events, they called off their divorce, because their relationship ended up improving during lockdown. And it isn't only due to the increased amount of time they spent together — Taylor credited therapy as a major contributor that helped them reconcile. "We came out of it and have been really stronger and better than ever," she candidly shared on an intimate segment of "The McBride Rewind" podcast.

Her husband, Ben Stiller, has also been candid about how he felt during their separation, as he was swamped with feelings of failure and not being enough. "When we separated, my feeling was, 'Oh, I'm failing at this, and look at my parents,'" Stiller said (per USA Today), baring it all in his documentary "Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost", which documents his parents and his childhood in their shadow. "They have this incredible, 50-plus-year marriage, and I can't live up to that." Thankfully, Stiller and Taylor stayed together and seem to understand each other more than ever, making it one of the rare celebrity marriages we think will stand the test of time.

Christine Taylor and Ben Stiller's marriage is going from strength to strength

Unlike Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, who can't escape being hounded by divorce rumors, Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor's marriage seems to be going well. The couple's red carpet appearances only serve to show how content they are with one another, as evidenced when they stepped out in October 2023 for the Project ALS Gala. Accompanied by their son Quinlin, the family joked warmly with one another during a red carpet interview, with Stiller showing his appreciation for his wife. "I'm a trophy husband," the "Night at the Museum" star quipped, per Page Six, "I'm riding her coattails, for sure."

The couple then showed up to the 2026 Met Gala dressed to the nines, marking 10 years since their previous Met Gala appearance. A lot has changed in their lives since then, but the pair were a united front as seen in the image above. Taylor was dressed in a stunning Bibhu Mohapatra dress, with beading down the front and a pair of dangling floral earrings. Stiller, on the other hand, looked dapper and understated in a suit paired with a silk orange tie. The couple is clearly a shining example of how marriage takes resilience, love, and the mutual desire to make it work.
