Ree Drummond's Unique Marriage Advice Is A Sweet Reminder Love Is A Team Effort

It's difficult to keep a marriage going when you're constantly in the public eye, and nobody knows this better than Hollywood couples. And while some celebs like Emily Blunt and John Krasinski find themselves being hounded by divorce rumors, a lucky few seem to have cracked the code. American food writer Ree Drummond's marriage appears to be going from strength to strength, having been married to her husband Ladd Drummond since 1996. But The Pioneer Woman blogger is more than happy to share the lessons she's learned over the course of her marriage, showcasing how much marriage is a team effort. 

In an Instagram post dated February 2022, Drummond shared a photo of herself with her arm around her husband, the pair smiling at the camera. Alongside the picture, she gave some marriage advice, writing in the caption, "1. Listen to each other. 2. Touch feet in bed right before you go to sleep, even if you're mad. 3. Never, ever ski together. Well, it's a start, anyway!" Fans were quick to show their love and appreciation to the couple in the comments. "I love this! It makes my heart smile!" wrote an Instagram user, adding a heart and smiley emoji beside it. "Handsome couple," said another. 

It takes two to make a marriage work and Ree Drummond understands this better than anyone. After a long marriage and five children together, the media personality acknowledges that marriage can be an uphill battle at times. Ree sometimes gets surprisingly candid about her relationship to Ladd, allowing fans a peek under the bonnet as to what it's like between the couple. In a video uploaded to the family's YouTube channel dedicated to chronicling the Drummonds' day-to-day life, Ree was seen preparing breakfast for the family, and got up close and personal with the camera as she spoke about her husband.

"Ladd is the youngest child. Sometimes he thinks I'm one of his kids," Ree cheekily said, her husband smiling as he listened in while working from the kitchen countertop. She added, "He needs to boss me around every once in a while. I'm older than him. Two weeks older." But it seems to be something that works for the couple, as they celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary in 2025 with this Instagram post, which showed the pair looking all loved-up for the camera. Decades on from the day they tied the knot, it's clear the couple still cherish one another, making them one of the celeb marriages we think will stand the test of time.
