Side-By-Side Pics Of The Saved By The Bell Leading Ladies From Season 1 To Now

"Saved by the Bell" had such an iconic cast; they were all so cool, funny, and down-to-earth. The leading ladies, especially, were so many of our role models growing up. Lisa Turtle (Lark Voorhies) was fashionable and beautiful, Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani-Amber Thiessen) gave off "girl next door" vibes, and Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley) taught us that having brains can take you places.

Even the teachers on the show were cool. Of course, there was Miss Carrie Bliss (Hayley Mills), the wise teacher who often helped her students with their life problems. There was also Miss Tina Paladrino (Joan Ryan), who brought her quirkiness to the show as Miss Bliss' best friend. It's always interesting to see how actors have transformed over time, which is why we're showing you these actors from their time on the show and how they look today.

Lark Voorhies as Lisa Turtle

Back in the day, Lisa Turtle was the student we all wanted to be. She had a great sense of fashion, wealthy parents, and all the boys wanted to be with her. Believe it or not, Lark Voorhies was only about 15 years old when "Saved by the Bell" premiered. She had curly brown hair, which she often wore in a half-up, half-down 'do, along with minimal makeup. These days, Voorhies has been focusing on her health after being diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. She even appeared on Dr. Oz to speak about her challenges.

Elizabeth Berkley as Jessie Spano

Jessie Spano was the brains on "Saved by the Bell." We all wanted her grades and level of ambition. Elizabeth Berkley was 17 years old when she first started playing the role of Spano. She had tight curls and often wore jeans, combat boots, and a headband. Berkley has had a stunning transformation from "Saved by the Bell" until now, becoming a mom, swapping suits for gowns, and appearing on television series such as "All's Fair."

Tiffani-Amber Thiessen as Kelly Kapowski

Tiffani-Amber Thiessen played Kelly Kapowski, the stunning head cheerleader at Bayside High. She was meant to be "the girl next door," and her style reflected that well. She often wore her long brown hair in typical '80s style, volumized and with bangs. She also wore t-shirts, button-downs, and crop tops. These days, Thiessen is still stunning, but we can see how her look has matured. She is also now a mom and cookbook author, opting for cardigans, button-down tops, and peacoats in many photos on her Instagram page.

Laura-Mooney-Hubbert as Nicky Kapowki

As the younger sister of Kelly Kapowski, Nicki Kapowski was played by Laura Mooney-Hubbert. When "Saved by the Bell" premiered, Mooney-Hubbert was just about 14 years old. Her style on the show was very tomboyish, and she was known for loving basketball. Another thing she loved? Zack. There doesn't seem to be much online about the former child actor, although she is fairly active on Instagram and Threads. She is also now a mother, though it appears that, based on her Instagram post, her son has passed away in May 2026.

Hayley Mills as Miss Carrie Bliss

Hayley Mills is an award-winning actor who played Miss Carrie Bliss on "Good Morning, Miss Bliss," which was retroactively known as season one of "Saved by the Bell." Mills, who is 80 years old at the time of reporting, spoke to Entertainment Weekly in 2021, following the death of co-star Dustin Diamond. She said, "The success of that series has been so great...It was fun and I loved doing it." While the actor has obviously aged since her "Saved by the Bell" days, she still looks great.

Joan Ryan as Miss Paladrino

Joan Ryan played the art teacher, Miss Tina Paladrino, on "Good Morning, Miss Bliss," which later became known as the sitcom, "Saved by the Bell." On the show, she often wore quirky and colorful outfits. She also often wore her hair curly and shoulder-length. These days, off the screen, she seems to flat-iron her hair with more toned-down looks. Ryan went on to have a stage acting career after "Saved by the Bell," including starring in "Ruthless!" and "Little Shop of Horrors."
