8 Times Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Perfectly Coordinated Their Outfits

From sleek monochromatic moments to perfectly coordinated formalwear, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have, over the course of their romance, nailed couple dressing. Whether attending royal calendar engagements, non-profit events or even sporting matches, the couple have consistently  stepped out in looks that match in a super-sweet yet effortlessly in-sync way. Although there are some weird things about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's relationship, their fashion isn't one of them.

When it comes to 'matching outfits' as a couple, mixed color combinations or even daring denim suits à la Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake can come across as cringeworthy. Somehow, though, Prince Harry and Megan Markle have managed to find a way to subtly complement one another through color palettes, textures, and silhouettes. Their love of coordinated outfit also reflects their well-documented, enduring bond that they've often spoken about publicly.

Speaking about their first date in the documentary series "Harry & Meghan," Meghan said, "[Harry] was just so fun, just so refreshingly fun. And that was the thing. We were like childlike together. (via Harper's Bazaar). Even from the beginning their sweet bond seemed fated, making their memorable coordinated outfit moments even sweeter. 

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement on November 27th, 2017 and less than a month later,  debuted their now signature coordinated aesthetic. During a visit to Nottingham Contemporary in December of that same year, Markle wore a dark blue coat over a black turtleneck, while Harry complemented the look in a navy, double-breasted coat with a beige scarf. One of the pair's boldest coordinated outfit moments came during the Mountbatten Festival of Music in 2020. For the event, Meghan Markle wore a striking red Safiyaa gown while Harry matched perfectly in his official Royal Marines dress uniform. The deep and dramatic matching shades created one of their most memorable public style appearances.

At the Endeavour Fund Awards, in 2020, Meghan stunned in a fitted turquoise dress while Harry coordinated in a deep navy suit. Although the blue shades are far from identical, the tonal moment shows how blended looks in the same palette can be striking. As the event was the couple's first outing after stepping back from their official capacity as senior royals, the  evening carried extra significance, and some of the sweetest moment happened from the insider the event.

At the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Ripple of Hope Gala in 2022, Meghan Markle dazzled in a custom off-the-shoulder white gown, while Harry perfectly complemented her elegant ensemble with a sharply tailored navy suit. The more approachable, yet still gala appropriate outfit were not identical in color but more proof of the couple's commitment to a classic palette. 

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's official appearances consistently showcase their sophisticated coordinated looks. Her preference for minimalist gowns pairs seamlessly with his classic tuxedos and military tailoring, like in this snap of the pair leaving the plane in Fiji during their 2018 Royal tour. His light blue-gray coat matched well with her ivory monochrome look.

According to several reports from the time, Meghan was proactive about making sure that she was always on the ball outfit-wise. 

Of course, no list of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's coordinated outfits could skip over their royal wedding day in 2018. For the second look of the day, Markle swapped her long sleeve Givenchy dress for a custom, high neck crepe gown by British designer Stella McCartney. Harry, meanwhile swapped the ceremonial military uniform he donned for the church ceremony for simple black suit and tuxedo bow. The combination of the outfits exuded timeless elegance, as evidenced by this photograph of two driving to their reception.

During their 2024 visit to Canada for the Invictus Games winter training events, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry looked ready to battle the elements together. They both embraced a cozy, coordinated approach to their styling, keeping true to their apparent love for neutrals. They each kept their outerwear in a simple, black-and-grey palette, with Markle opting for a large puffer combined with a soft knitwear hat and scarf. Meanwhile, Harry mirrored the palette in a relaxed jacket and black gloves. Amid rumors of further divide with the Royal family,the couple appeared to be all smiles.
