The Big Bang Theory Star Mayim Bialik's Style Evolution, In Photos

Mayim Bialik is perhaps best known for her role as Amy Farrah Fowler on "The Big Bang Theory." Since the show ended, Bialik has hosted a game show, produced and starred in a show, and directed a film. Bialik has also faced challenges in her personal life, including getting divorced in 2013 from her partner of nine years. Bialik was changed forever after her divorce, but in the best ways possible. Not only did her career continue to thrive, but she also started a podcast and found a new love. Her fashion game also evolved.

When she was on "The Big Bang Theory," Bialik's character's style resembled that of a librarian. Off-screen, however, Bialik was breaking out of her shell and making bolder fashion choices. Her looks even became sexier after her divorce. Bialik is one of the lucky celebrities whose skin also looks great without makeup, although her makeup choices have also shifted along with her style.

2004: She kept it safe with a little black dress

By the early 2000s, Mayim Bialik had come off the success of her hit '90s show, "Blossom." Around this time, she had gotten married to Michael Stone. The couple would welcome their children in 2005 and 2008. During this time, Bialik kept her style classic, often opting for black dresses. But her personal style would always shine through in the finer details of the dress. During the "Cavalia" opening night in 2004, she wore a black dress with embroidery around the neckline.

2008: She kept it conservative with a long skirt and jacket

Just a couple of years before she landed the role on "The Big Bang Theory" that would change her life, Bialik was spotted at the Live for Sderot benefit concert in 2008. Her look was rather conservative, with a yellow jacket over a black top and a long plaid skirt. She wore her hair in a half-up, half-down hairdo and wore yellow earrings to match her jacket. What we love about Bialik's style is that although she's conservative, she isn't afraid to show a bit of spunk.

2011: Back to black

Mayim Bialik landed the role of Amy Farrah Fowler on "The Big Bang Theory" in 2010. That role must have given her confidence because her style completely shifted, and it seemed as though she broke out of her shell. At the HFPA and InStyle event, "A Night of Firsts" in 2011, Bialik was seen wearing a little black dress with sheer sleeves. The dress showed off some skin, notably her legs. Bialik also changed up her hairstyle, wearing her hair slicked back in an updo.

2013: She dressed sexy in green

The year 2013 must have been a challenging one for Mayim Bialik, who underwent a divorce from her long-time partner. But that didn't stop her from showing up. In fact, it seemed as though she dressed even sexier after her divorce. At the Primetime Emmy Awards, Bialik wore a green gown with sheer panels and sheer sleeves. The gown hugged her every curve, and she looked happy and confident. She wore her hair down and wavy, looking absolutely stunning.

2019: Her unique style shone through

After "The Big Bang Theory" wrapped up in 2019, Mayim Bialik really seemed to come into her own. She was always one to have fun with her style, but in 2019, we really saw that with the colorful prints and unique style she brought to the red carpet and at events. For example, at the Saban Community Clinic's annual gala dinner in 2019, Bialik wore a fun orange and blue printed dress that almost resembles a leopard print style.

2024: She added more color and became comfortable in her own skin

It seemed as though Mayim Bialik really found her confidence and realized what works for her when it comes to fashion. The actor ditched her black dresses from the early 2000s for more colorful frocks. She also leaned towards a sexier style, wearing silhouettes that flatter her figure and show a bit of skin. At the "Gladiator II" premiere in 2024, for example, Bialik wore a mustard yellow dress with a deep V-neck and black boots. She wore her hair in a slick updo, showing off her dangling earrings.
