Tiger Woods' Daughter Sam Has Had A Stunning Transformation

Sam Woods has had quite the style transformation over the years. The teenage daughter of golf star Tiger Woods has grown up right before our eyes in more ways than one. Beyond her beautiful glow, she's managed to maintain a private life outside of the glitz and glamour of being a celebrity kid. She has also made a name for herself in the sports industry outside of her father's career. Being in the limelight day one as a kid is no easy feat, and can put you under scrutiny immediately. However, with Sam's transformation being so seamless, the scrutiny that other teenage celebrities face may not be a reality for her. 

Woods has made it a point to remain poised in composure when she's on camera, and not to reveal too much of her personal life to maintain privacy.  To follow in her father's footsteps even more, she began attending Stanford University in the fall of 2025 (Tiger attended and played golf for the university for two years). With more life ahead of her, the transformation she's had from a child to young adult has been a beautiful sight to see in more ways than one. 

Sam Woods was born to golf superstar Tiger Woods and model Elin Nordegren on June 18, 2007. At the time of her birth, her father was playing in the U.S. Open, where he placed second a day before Nordegren gave birth. The resemblance in her face to her parents as a child is noticeably different than what you may see today. As a baby, Sam's facial structure was a blend of both of her parents, with her dad's eyebrows and mom's smile that sat beautifully on her round face. Her mini round nose and bright, dark brown eyes became signatures in her appearance as a toddler. 

Being born near Father's Day made for a memorable experience for her family, as they named her after a nickname given to Tiger by his father. "My father had always called me Sam since the day I was born. He rarely ever called me Tiger. I would ask him, 'Why don't you ever call me Tiger?' He says, 'Well, you look more like a Sam," Woods explained in a press conference soon after his daughter's birth. Though she experienced her first few years of life in a two-parent household, her parents sadly divorced in 2010. However, they maintained joint custody of her and her brother. While Elin Nordegren has totally transformed since divorcing Tiger Woods, the one thing that's remained constant is her love and support for her daughter.

Caught in the crosshairs of a public divorce, Sam Woods still managed to develop a bond with both of her parents. She could still be seen at public events with her dad, such as the U.S. Open in 2015, where they could be seen enjoying the matches. However, her relationship with golf became a bit skewed after the impact it had on her relationship with her dad. Woods had a negative perspective on golf growing up because it didn't allow her to spend as much time with her father as she would've liked. 

Her father explained in an interview with Time Magazine in 2015 and again in 2024 on the "Today" show with Carson Daly. "She has a negative connotation to the game because, at that time, growing up, golf took [her] daddy away from her," Woods explained in the interview. "We developed our own relationship, our own rapport that's outside of golf ... Meanwhile, my son and I do everything golf related." This outlook change is what we see today as a close-knit relationship and her helping him on the golf course.

In recent years, Sam Woods has been seen on the golf course a few times. Though she had initial reservations towards golf and was caught in the middle of her parents' divorce, she's still managed to build a positive relationship with her father. Their relationship has grown so much that she was even the presenter for her father during the 2022 World Golf Hall of Fame induction ceremony. She also well as caddied for him during the 2023 PNC Championship and in 2024 during the same event. 

Tiger Woods also made it a point to remain transparent with both of his children during the time of his divorce, which ended up helping to build rapport in their bond from an early age. "I've taken the initiative with the kids, and told them up front, 'Guys, the reason why we're not in the same house, why we don't live under the same roof, Mommy and Daddy, is because Daddy made some mistakes.'" " Woods explained in an exclusive interview with Time Magazine in 2015. "'But it's O.K. We're all human. We all make mistakes. But look what happened at the end of it. Look at how great you are. You have two loving parents that love you no matter what.'"

Outside of her father's career as a professional golfer, Sam Woods grew to love soccer as her sport of choice. With support from both her parents, Sam felt confident in pursuing the sport throughout her years in school. USA Today even reported on her historic win for The Benjamin School varsity girls soccer team in 2025, where they won the Florida 2A FHSAA state championship. This win made it the first in the soccer program's history to close out their other wins from the season. 

As of this report, Sam is attending Stanford University, but the name she's been able to make for herself outside of her family stands alone in impact. Academically, in 2025, Sam was also awarded the Palm Beach Post Pathfinder Award in the sports category, making her one of three winners and the only female winner from her school for that year. 

Like any teenager transitioning into adulthood, there's going to be the embrace of change physically and mentally. While there are many 2016 beauty trends worth bringing into 2026, Sam Woods hasn't revealed publicly what products she enjoys or her beauty routine. As she continues to grow into her own woman, there's no question that her glow up is going to continue. After graduating from high school in May 2025, Sam has started her collegiate journey at Stanford University at the time of this report.

While some could say that Sam looks much different from how she did as a child, much of her age progression still holds on to the same facial features she had as a child. Now that she's aged, you can see more of her facial structure stemming from her dad's looks in her eyes, nose, and mouth area. Meanwhile, she also takes from her mom's stature and complexion. Regardless of how old she gets, her father still sees her as his little girl as she continues to grow up, as he's stated in a few interviews over the years. We're hopeful to see how her collegiate journey and beauty continue on.
