Hollywood legend Jane Seymour has had a lifelong career spanning decades at the forefront of the silver screen. As such, the former Bond girl has a bounty of life experience and wisdom that she's more than happy to share, especially around beauty and aging. Naturally, being in Hollywood and ascribing to its beauty standards hasn't been easy, but the "Captains and the Kings" actor is definitely one of the older celebs who aren't playing by society's beauty rules. "A lot of women give up around the time they're 50 — they hide under a rock, and it's like they're invisible," Seymour exclusively told Woman's World, "I want to encourage women that this is our time."
Moreover, Seymour's beauty advice goes beyond just slapping top-notch skincare and makeup products on your face. She highlights the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people and being around them as much as possible. "Take time to be with the people that you love, people that need you or people that can put a smile on your face — now is the perfect time for that," she tells the publication. The "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" star's grounded take on the pressures that come with aging is a refreshing one, and she surely counts as one of the rare celebs who's confronting aging with confidence.
Jane Seymour has never felt more confident in herself
Jane Seymour isn't shy about who she is, and instead of reducing her on-screen appearances as she aged, she turned it up a notch when she worked on "Wedding Crashers" in 2005. In the film, Seymour channeled her inner Bond girl for a sultry scene where she shed her top, and later revealed that her decision to take on the part for "Wedding Crashers" actually ended up being a boon to her career, and audiences were receptive. "It was hilarious, really, that I suddenly became funny and sexual at a time when most women are invisible," Seymour told People, as she was in her 50s when she starred in "Wedding Crashers". Now that she's in her 70s, Seymour still believes that you can be as hot and sensual as you were in your 20s.
But making sure you look the way you feel takes effort, and Seymour is more than happy to explain how. In an intimate sit-down with Harper's Bazaar, the "East of Eden" actor revealed that she was a passionate devotee of the Body Firm Crépe Erase Body Resurfacing Serum to keep her skin smooth. Seymour also keeps a careful watch over what she eats, as well as other healthy habits that keep her energetic. "I mostly eat a Mediterranean diet ... I stick to fish and a lot of vegetables. I never diet," she informs the publication, "But I love dark chocolate, that's my treat of choice."
