Signs That Zoë Kravitz & Harry Styles May Not Make It Down The Aisle
There were equal amounts celebration and heartbreak around the world in April 2026 when Page Six claimed Harry Styles and Zoë Kravitz were engaged. The couple has yet to publicly confirm the news at the time of writing, but the hints are certainly there. Kravitz was spotted with a ring on that special finger, and the two haven't hidden their PDA from public view (a big deal for the notoriously private duo). But there are several signs that these two won't make it down the aisle.
One of the most notable is how quickly their romance developed. Though the right time is different for every couple, these two may have jumped into engaged life too quickly. They were first spotted together in August 2025, just eight months before their reported engagement. "I feel like they've gone from [zero] to 60," a source told Page Six in September 2025. But, as dating and attraction coach Emily Freeman told The Knot, "It's important to know your partner and experience them in different situations and seasons of their life." For these two, that may mean Styles seeing Kravitz through the filming and promotion of a movie; or Kravitz being by Styles' side while he writes, records, and tours with a new album. That way, both can see what each other's day-to-day lives are really like (and it's unlikely they've done that in eight months).
Zoë Kravitz doesn't have a great track record when it comes to marriage
Zoë Kravitz is no stranger to an engagement ring. The star's first proposal came from Karl Glusman, who she wed in June 2019. The couple didn't make it far past their first anniversary though, as she filed for divorce 18 months later. Kravitz then started dating fellow actor Channing Tatum; and the two got engaged in October 2023. However, we noticed plenty of red flags in the couple's relationship and, by the following October, they'd split and given us one of 2024's most dramatic breakups to learn from.
Kravitz has the right to get engaged as many times as she wants until she finds the right one for her. But, in some cases, being engaged or married multiple times could be a red flag, as psychologist Andrea Sartor told Metro. "Occasionally, when a person habitually enters into marriage multiple times, it could be that they may have an underlying mental health disorder, personality disorder, or attachment wounds that have left them feeling vulnerable — so they tend to fall into unhealthy relationship patterns," she said. If that's the case here, it's unlikely Kravitz and Harry Styles will become husband and wife until any unhealthy habits have been broken.
Their busy schedules could cause problems
Zoë Kravitz and Harry Styles are two of the busiest stars on the planet. Their jam-packed schedules aren't showing signs of slowing down, which could easily cause problems, and a source told People in February 2026 that their diaries don't always align. The insider claimed Kravitz planned to join Styles during his massive 2026 world tour, but her workload will only allow her to be by his side for a few dates (the tour will see the former boybander on the road from May 2026 until December 2026).
Kravitz is equally busy with her acting career. Amid Styles' globetrotting in 2026, she'll be busy promoting the movie "How to Rob a Bank," due for release that September. She was also spotted holding a script in March 2026, suggesting she could have signed on the dotted line for another project. Though People's insider claimed the two work hard to ensure they can spend time together, long stretches of time apart and constantly having to blend very busy schedules could easily take its toll on their romance. Notably, People claimed Styles' two-year romance with actor Olivia Wilde ended at least partly because of the difficulties that stemmed from him touring abroad.
Styles' big tour also means a major change to the life he and Kravitz enjoyed in the earlier days of their romance. In December 2025, a source revealed to People that the couple had spent a lot of time in Rome, Italy. They claimed the couple wasn't bothered much by fans in the European city and noted, "They just stroll around, meet up with friends[,] and live a very relaxed life." But that's unlikely to continue now that he's back to traveling the world, meaning they'll have to adapt to a new relationship phase.
Harry Styles may not be ready for marriage
Immediately following the Zoë Kravitz and Harry Styles engagement reports, rumors swirled that suggested the former One Direction member may not actually be ready for marriage. "Harry thrives on freedom and spontaneity, and there is a sense he is not ready to trade that in for something more settled," a source told RadarOnline. "The idea of marriage has been raised, but it is not something he feels aligned with at this stage of his life, and he is essentially feeling pressured into marrying her as he does not want to totally give up the party boy lifestyle that's at his disposal." That mirrors what a source told Us Weekly in 2022, when Styles was dating Olivia Wilde. They claimed he wasn't interested in "[getting] married and [starting] a family" at that point, which was shortly before he and Wilde called it quits.
Only Styles knows if he's truly ready for such a major commitment, but his dating history backs up speculation that marriage may be too big of a lifestyle change. The star has earned a playboy label over the years, famously dating the likes of Wilde, Taylor Swift, and Kendall Jenner. There's no reason someone with a busy romantic past can't settle down, but if it's true that the "As It Was" singer felt pressured to propose to Kravitz, it's a major sign this relationship won't end in an "I do."
They reportedly don't live together (or always sleep in the same room)
Zoë Kravitz and Harry Styles reportedly have an unconventional living arrangement. Despite possibly being engaged, not only do they seemingly not live together, but The Sun claimed they don't even always share a bed when they're in the same city. Mere days before the engagement reports dropped, the outlet claimed Styles had picked Kravitz up from a London hotel so they could spend the day together. That's a little odd, considering an onlooker claimed he also dropped her off and stayed at his London home without her.
While there could be a simple explanation for Kravitz preferring a hotel over her boyfriend's pad (he could have a friend staying with him, for example), the eyebrow-raising arrangement sparked a lot of chatter online. While many commenters defended the pair and claimed staying in separate places was for logistical ease, others weren't convinced. "This is a classic showmance. It's astonishing [that Kravitz] is holed up in a hotel instead of Harry's mansion down the road, and it reeks of a fake relationship now," a RadarOnline source said. If that's the case, it's unlikely that a wedding is on the horizon.
Zoë Kravitz isn't comfortable with a lot of attention
Zoë Kravitz has been honest about her struggles with the spotlight. In a 2022 interview with The Guardian, the actor shared her love affair with New York City dulled as her star rose because of how much she was recognized. "There have been times where I'm, like, I'm not going to leave my house today, because I don't feel emotionally capable of protecting myself energetically from that," she said. The daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet (a celebrity couple who are total divorce goals) also admitted she wasn't comfortable with candid photos. "It's weird to not be considered a human being, which is what it feels like in those moments," she said.
But that won't get easier as the partner of one of the most famous celebrities in the world, and the interest in her (and paparazzi attention) has only intensified. If Kravitz has become more comfortable with fame since 2022, it may not affect her romance with Styles too much. However, if she feels the same about living a public life, it's hard to see how she and Styles will make it down the aisle amid the intense attention on their romance.
