Pics Of Leah Remini's Face That Aren't Helping The Plastic Surgery Rumors

Leah Remini has undergone quite the dramatic transformation. She first won our hearts as Carrie Heffernan in "The King of Queens," a role she played for nine seasons before pivoting to reality TV with "Inside Out: Leah Remini." Then, she became a mother and seemed to take a break from the screens. She later made a comeback by appearing as a contestant on "Dancing With the Stars" in 2013, and with her 2016 docuseries, "Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath." Then, she went back to school and earned a law degree from NYU in 2024. Alongside this career evolution, though, her appearance seems to have changed significantly. And fans have taken note. "Whats up with Leah Remini? Didn't even know it was her with my sound off" wrote one Reddit user over a video of the star talking on a podcast.

Despite the speculation, Remini has denied claims that she's gone under the knife. However, she has admitted to getting Botox. Writing on X in response to a fan who alleged she looked dramatically different, she said, "I haven't had plastic surgery yet, but the fact that you noticed my face isn't moving, means my Botox has lasted all this time." Although Remini has denied going under the knife, there are some subtle signs in her appearance that suggest the actress may have done more than Botox.

2003: Leah Remini was a fresh-faced beauty

Leah Remini appeared at the world premiere of "Old School" in 2003, which would have been just around the middle of her run on "King of Queens." At the time, the actor was in her early thirties her complexion appearing smooth and natural.  As one Reddit user commented: "She was one of the most beautiful women to grace this planet in multiple seasons." We can't help but agree!

2010: Leah Remini looked natural with laugh lines and all

Remini appeared with her partner at the time, Angelo Pagan, at the FOX Sports/PAC-10 Conference Hollywood premiere night in July 2010. As seen in this photo, it's clear that she was wearing a full face of makeup, including eyeshadow, blush, and a glossy lip color, but her face still showed signs of movement with her visible laugh lines pronounced as she smiled at the camera. You could also see subtle signs of fine lines in her forehead, which would have been totally normal on the star as she would have just turned 40-years-old.

2018: Remini's face transformed

Changes in Leah Remini's face became particularly noticeable when she attended the Producers Guild Awards in January 2018. Compared to her 2010 photo, her cheeks appeared significantly smoother and tighter, while her eyes looked slightly tilted, suggesting that she may have had a face lift. If this turns out to be true, she wouldn't be alone. There are many other celebrities, such as Reba McEntire, whose face tune-up was undeniable at the 2026 Grammy Awards that have benefit from suspected cosmetic procedures.

2019: Remini's face is devoid of wrinkles and her lips appear fuller

One year after that Producers Guild Awards, and Remini barely looked recognizable at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards in 2019. Though some of these changes can be attributed to makeup, her smooth forehead, wider jawline, and pronounced cheeks suggests she may have dabbled with fillers.

Late 2019: Remini's forehead is super smooth

Later in 2019, Leah Remini appeared at the IDA Documentary Awards, where she accepted the Truth to Power Award. While the accolade was noteworthy, what stood out to some fans was her noticeable lack of wrinkles — particularly on her forehead. Given that she would have been close to 50-years-old at the time of this event, it seemed unusual to some fans that her face would be this smooth. Not long after this appearance, one fan commented on X: "Wow! @LeahRemini's face can barely move." Although Remini has remained quiet about any work, fans on Reddit believe her post 2020 face suggests otherwise.
