Side-By-Side Pics Of Anna Nicole Smith & Daughter Dannielynn Birkhead Will Have You Seeing Double

Dannielynn Birkhead, the daughter of pop culture icon Anna Nicole Smith, is all grown up now and is the spitting image of her mother. Now in her late teens, Birkhead's features have matured and morphed into an uncanny version of her mother's, as seen in side-by-side pics. Like other mom-daughter duos who share the same face – they also share nearly identical features, from their blond hair and blue eyes to the exact same smile. Even the shape of their face, nose, lips, and overall bone structure are strikingly similar.

Anna Nicole Smith, who shot to fame in the '90s and the early 2000s, following a modeling career as a Playboy centerfold turned "Playmate of the Year," went on to appear in film and later reality television. She had always been at the center of scandal and controversy — from her marriage to 89-year-old billionaire J. Howard Marshall II, when she was just 26, to her public lawsuits, and struggles with drug addiction. All that drama aside, Smith, who already had a son, Daniel, always longed for a daughter to share her legacy with.

"Anna always wanted a little girl, that was her dream," Dannielynn's father, Larry Birkhead, said in a 2017 ABC News "20/20" interview. "She would collect outfits from all these road trips ... and hope that one day she could dress her in all these frilly outfits." Smith welcomed her baby girl in September 2006, but tragically passed away just five months later from an accidental drug overdose. Nonetheless, her dream of having a daughter has come full circle, manifesting her doppelganger.

After her mother's tumultuous life and death in the public eye, Dannielynn Birkhead was taken far from the spotlight by her father. She grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, under his watchful eye, aimed at a life of normalcy and a relatively regular childhood.

Every year, however, the father-daughter duo make a grand appearance at the annual Barnstable Brown Kentucky Derby Gala, where onlookers can't help but notice the striking resemblance between Birkhead and her late mother. Attending the event in 2023 (photo above), the then 16 year old paid tribute to Smith in a fashionable way. Wearing a mesh tulle skirt with a blouse covered in her mom's photographs, along with Smith's signature wispy updo and dark eye makeup, Birkhead fashioned a strikingly similar look to her mother. "She's showing off her fashion sense [while] at the same time paying tribute to her mom," her father explained to "People Magazine". "It's done with photos from some of Anna's best Guess campaigns ... She [Dannielynn] saved it for a special occasion." 

She followed up on the tradition again in 2025 – escaping that year's Kentucky Derby fashion nightmare – she wore one of her mother's exquisite gowns with a similar updo hairstyle. In an interview with "Access Hollywood," a tearful Birkhead said, "I'm going to once again try not to cry when I say this, but I can't know my mom sadly, and this is one of the only reasons and ways I can." She added, "This is the closest I'll ever get to a hug from her." Meanwhile, on social media, where her father shared footage of the event, fans instantly recognized the similarities between Birkhead and Smith."Omg, she's just like her mom. Personality and looks. She's gorgeous," one person commented.
