Dance Moms Star Abby Lee Miller's Face Transformation Is A Sight To See

Abby Lee Miller, who made a name for herself on the reality TV series "Dance Moms," is sporting a slightly different face these days. And if you need proof, the choreographer underwent a highly publicized facelift in 2019, going so far as to document and share her procedure, fully awake, on "The Doctors". The reality star also experienced major weight loss, reportedly shedding 100 pounds, due in part to gastric sleeve surgery, compounded by the one-year, one-day prison sentence she served in 2017 for bankruptcy fraud. With her weight loss and facelift combined, Miller's face transformation is a sight to see, especially when comparing side-by-side photos.

The dance instructor was photographed at Lifetime's "Summer Luau" in May 2019 (left) and years later at the "Global Gaming League" match in February 2026 (right). Taken just seven years apart, Miller looks decades older in the more recent photo. There is significant volume loss across her face due to her weight loss, resulting in more wrinkles. The surface and tone of her skin also look visibly textured and blotchy, further contributing to an aged appearance.

This brings into focus that there's something quite off about Miller's facial features beyond her facelift or weight loss. Her skin is overly reddened and uneven in tone, suggesting she may be overdoing certain skin treatments — not the treatments that clear up discoloration — or spending excessive time in the sun, fueling ongoing discussions online about her look.

Fans scrutinized Abby Lee Miller for promoting Botox

While Miller is no stranger to injectables, having done a liquid nose job in 2022 — a nonsurgical rhinoplasty that uses dermal fillers (like hyaluronic acid) to reshape, straighten, or lift the nose temporarily — she also seems to be an expert on Botox use. In a 2024 video clip shared on Reddit, she offered some unsolicited advice to women ages 20 to 22, recommending Botox in their younger years. "That's when you're supposed to get Botox. You're supposed to freeze those muscles, so you never get the wrinkles later on," Miller said.

As expected, her remarks sparked debate on the platform, with many claiming she wasn't in any position to be giving women cosmetic or skincare guidance. "I'm not taking beauty advice from a 7/11 hotdog that's been on the rollers for 3 days," one Reddit user commented. Another user added, "I was trying to think of a way to describe how crusty and orange Abby looks, but this does it perfectly."

Despite a dramatic face transformation, the "Dance Moms" star has endured a long and difficult journey, facing severe health complications since April 2018, including emergency spinal surgery, Burkitt lymphoma, and paralysis from the neck down. She underwent multiple surgeries, ten rounds of chemotherapy, and extensive rehabilitation, and is now wheelchair-bound.
