5 Signs Vanessa Trump And Tiger Woods Won't Make It Another Year

When Vanessa Trump and Tiger Woods confirmed their romance in 2025, there were multiple glaring signs the unexpected Trump/Woods' romance wouldn't last. But, since then, plenty more red flags have popped up that suggest not only will they not go the distance, they probably won't even make it another year.

He was arrested for driving under the influence following a crash so serious his vehicle tipped onto its side, and that caused a chain reaction it may be tough for the couple to recover from.

Vanessa Trump shared a supportive message for Tiger Woods on her Instagram Story shortly after his March 2026 arrest. She uploaded a photo of the two cuddling in a hammock and wrote alongside two red heart emojis (via Page Six), "Love you." But, despite Trump's public show of support, a Daily Mail source claimed the twosome had a very serious conversation about his behavior and their relationship behind closed doors.

Three days later, TMZ reported a private jet belonging to the athlete had touched down in Switzerland. The outlet suggested the flight may have been to take Woods to the nearby Paracelsus Recovery or Kusnacht Practice centers. USA Today claimed Woods purportedly had hydrocodone, a strong pain killer, in his possession at the time of his arrest.

If the golf legend is spending time in Switzerland, that likely means time apart from his girlfriend. Trump lives in Florida and has five children, so is unlikely to spend an extended amount of time in another country amid Woods' recovery. Equally, if Woods has entered a rehabilitation facility, it's not uncommon for smartphone use to be limited (or even banned) to aid recovery. That could mean less contact between Trump and Woods, which could put a major strain on their romance.

Tiger Woods is reportedly unwilling to compromise for love — even for Vanessa Trump, who's totally transformed over the years. "This incident will not be forgotten, but it will be something that will go by the wayside. Then, he can continue his life the way he wants," a Daily Mail source said, referring to Woods' March 2026 car accident. "He's living his life, not what people want his life to be and that's that," they added. The insider even hinted Woods wouldn't be too concerned if his girlfriend walked away. "If people want to be a part [of his life], awesome. If not, things will be fine," the insider revealed. "He's in his 50s, he'd like to be left alone and deal with life the way he wants," they said. A People source shared a similar take following his arrest, admitting, "Tiger has yet to look in the mirror and say, 'You're 50 years old and need to act like it.'"

No one should feel they have to totally change for a relationship. However, compromise is necessary if one person feels the other is consistently putting their relationship in jeopardy through dangerous situations. "Healthy compromise is part of growing together to achieve a common goal. It is really about how can we make this work so we are both feel happy and fulfilled," Susan Ball, self-love activist and women's freedom coach, told Elite Daily. In the case of Trump and Woods, healthy compromise would likely involve more flexibility from the athlete and a focus on maturing to show more commitment to their relationship.

Aside from Tiger Woods' March 2025 post confirming his relationship with Vanessa Trump, both have been reluctant to post lasting acknowledgments of their romance on social media. At the time of writing, Trump hasn't featured on Woods' Instagram grid since the announcement. Woods, meanwhile, has yet to appear on his girlfriend's grid at all. Equally, the snap she shared to Instagram Stories following his March 2026 car accident wasn't new. It was the same as the second image he posted in his relationship announcement.

"We feel like we're helping, but in turn we're kind of emptying our cup while our partner is emptying their cup, and then there's no one left to fill the cups back up because you're both now drained and emotionally depleted," she explained. If Trump and Woods have found themselves with two empty cups, it's a clear sign they're nearing splitsville.
